INJECTABLESBOOKING – INFORMATION ABOUT RESTYLANE HA FILLERS

Restylane fillers

Restylane®

Restylane® is the family name for Restylane® filler products, which are made from non-animal hyaluronic acid (HA). Restylane® fillers can add volume to the skin and correct wrinkles and lines for a younger and fresher appearance.

Restylane® offers a diverse range of fillers, from firm to flexible. Each filler is designed for a specific purpose and/or facial area, such as Restylane® Kysse for the lips and Restylane® Eyelight for the tear troughs.

All Restylane® fillers are based on the active ingredient hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in our body. The Restylane® NASHA fillers most closely resemble natural hyaluronic acid and therefore behave like the body’s own HA. This means the skin can easily absorb the fillers, producing natural-looking results.

WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID (HA) AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the skin. It can attract and retain large amounts of moisture, hydrating the skin and giving it a healthy, youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid also contributes to skin elasticity and volume. In short, it is an essential element for maintaining youthful-looking skin.

Restylane® was the first filler brand worldwide to be approved by the FDA*. In addition to FDA approval, Restylane® fillers also have European CE markings**. More than 65 million treatments have been performed worldwide with Restylane.

*The FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) is a US government agency that only approves medical devices and medicines that are safe and effective when used by qualified professionals.

**The CE marking indicates that a product meets all EU requirements for safety, health, and environmental protection according to the manufacturer.

WHAT DOES A RESTYLANE HYALURONIC ACID FILLER TREATMENT INVOLVE?

In a Restylane hyaluronic acid (HA) filler treatment, small injections of hyaluronic acid are administered into the skin, with the possible goals of:

·        Smoothing unwanted lines, folds, and wrinkles

·        Adding volume to facial areas with low volume

·        Enhancing skin structure

·        Lifting specific areas

Restylane fillers

Restylane®: The first and original HA filler. Suitable for smoothing facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and lines around the mouth.

Restylane® Volyme: A soft to moderately flexible filler gel specially designed to restore the natural contours of the mid-face. This filler adds volume and fullness while maintaining natural facial movement. Ideal for the cheeks and temples.

Restylane® Kysse: A soft and flexible filler gel developed to make the lips fuller and softer, and/or to restore and enhance the shape of the lips.

Restylane® Defyne: A filler used to provide subtle definition and contour to the face, such as the chin.

Restylane® Lyft: The firmest filler available, giving facial projection and structure by lifting facial areas without adding volume. Can be used on the cheeks, nose, chin, and jawline.

Restylane® Refyne: The most flexible filler, intended for treating dynamic facial areas.

Restylane® Eyelight: A firm gel that helps lift sunken under-eye hollows and reduce shadows caused by them.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

The results of Restylane fillers are long-lasting but not permanent. The Restylane hyaluronic acid gel is biodegradable and gradually disappears from the body over time. Restylane results typically last between 12 and 24 months, but this can vary depending on the individual, the amount used, and the treated area.

After the first treatment, follow-up or touch-up treatments are usually recommended to maintain the results.

DO YOU NEED RECOVERY TIME AFTER A RESTYLANE TREATMENT?

After a Restylane treatment, no recovery period is needed; you can continue with your daily activities.

To ensure optimal results, it is recommended to follow the aftercare instructions provided by the doctor.

It is advised not to expose the treated area to extreme heat (e.g., sunbathing, saunas, or steam baths) after a filler treatment until any signs of inflammation have disappeared.
