I came for the tear trough treatment last Friday the 16th January and I am absolutely amazed by the results! I’m 46 and never had an aesthetic treatment before but as I was turning 40 I started to look really tired with hollowing and dark circles under my eyes. I had comments from friends and family saying I looked exhausted and it really affected me and my self esteem as I felt fine I just looked very tired. The healing process has been great. 3 days post treatment and I have no bruising and only very minimal swelling. In fact no one else can see the minuscule bit of swelling but me. My friends and family have said I look amazing and very fresh faced. Thank you so much to Lauren and Isobelle you have absolutely made me feel and look amazing. I've also had tear trough filler done in december which Heather did explain i may feel i need a bit corrected or re filled at the time which i did end up needing . I went back yesterday and had a wee bit dissolved and re filled and it wasnt painful at all i actually felt nothing . I am also a very anxious person and heather really made me feel calm and not nervous or worried at all . As soon as i sat down my paranoid feeling went away . Last year I had course of Exion Microneedling with lovely Michelle. My skin has never looked or felt better. Three sessions, four weeks apart. Not painful, just a bit stingy. I had two small scars under my eyes - one has gone, the other you can hardly see now. Definitely worth doing.
Yesterday, I had my first Sculptra with Khianna. Everything was explained in detail - not painful, no bruising.

I’am a 48 year old female who has never had any type of aesthetic experience or treatments. The market place is saturated with aesthetic and beauty clinics who offer various treatments. I did my research and decided to have tear trough. It was a risk choosing the right clinic. I then spoke with Dr Fida. I had a free consultation and we discussed my concerns and he was honest and frank and suggested the best treatment for me going forward.

I had a devastating facial palsy's (twice) when younger; with the right side of my face completely collapsing which as you can imagine really affected my confidence. It did heal but was never 100 percent the same especially my right eye. As I got older, I thought I needed tear trough to correct my eye. However Dr Fida openly explained that I have lost the volume of fat pads on my cheeks, again especially on the right side causing my right eye to significantly droop :(

Choosing the right team and treatment from an experienced practitioner was crucial. If I had gone to an in-experienced practitioner and had tear trough this would have not been the correct procedure to correct my condition; wasting time and money. I think the results speak for themselves. Because of the success of my first treatment. I have now rebooked in for my second treatment on my nasal folds area which will hopefully complete my look. I have a new found confidence and I would of course definitely recommend this clinic. Isn’t it a great time to be alive in a world where aesthetics can produce such top tier great results?

The personal experience of Ineke van Ruiten (39) with tear trough fillers

I’ve always had under-eye bags. Always a sort of blue circle under my eyes. Even in childhood photos, it was there. Sometimes worse, sometimes less noticeable. In winter when I was pale, or during hay fever season, the bags stood out even more. I didn’t mind them, but my mother often said I looked tired.

During puberty, I became more aware of it. I started wearing makeup and wanted to look good. Those under-eye bags bothered me. Luckily, I could camouflage them well. Still, it was a daily concern. My day couldn’t start until the dark circles were covered. I wouldn’t go outside without concealer.

I never really looked for a permanent solution. I assumed there wasn’t one. Of course, I had heard of fillers, but I didn’t really know what they could do.

Helped by friend Robin

In the following years, I lived my life. I got married and had two children. I worked for over 10 years as an administrative assistant at a large insurance company. At 34, I decided to change jobs. I started working in administration at a home accessories wholesaler. There, I met Robin, my new colleague. Robin is a fun and spontaneous woman, and we became friends. Eventually, I told her how much the dark circles under my eyes bothered me. Robin shared her experience with tear trough fillers. She was shocked I hadn’t heard of them. Haha, yes, I didn’t know — apparently it wasn’t common in my environment.

Robin took me to a consultation at a private clinic in Hilversum. There was a very kind female doctor who understood exactly what bothered me. I decided to have tear trough fillers.

Experience of the tear trough treatment

During the treatment, she gave me one injection. Then she used a cannula under my eye to distribute the filler. It didn’t hurt at all. I find the result amazing. The doctor explained that the dark circle is caused by the thinness of my skin, which makes the blood underneath visible as a blue/dark hue. The tear trough filler slightly thickened the skin. It may be a micro millimetre, but for me, it achieved a perfect result. It’s been three months, and I’m happy every single day.

My advice: Only get treated if you connect with the doctor

I am very grateful to Robin for taking me to this wonderful doctor. I had a great connection with her — she’s a true professional. You sometimes read bizarre stories about fillers in the media, but I think the key is to have a connection with your doctor. If you don’t, just talk to another doctor. That would be my advice!
