On the day of my appointment, I was welcomed by the reception staff and waited in the waiting room for a few minutes.

Dr Khalil Al Nakib was very friendly and professional. After I mentioned that I sometimes faint during procedures, he kindly offered me some chocolate and explained each step clearly. He kept talking to me throughout to distract me from the discomfort of the anaesthetic injection.

After that, I didn’t feel anything, and the skin tag was removed quickly using a laser.

They reassured me that I could contact them if I experienced any side effects.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely attend again if needed. Show less »

She was very professional and a lovely person to speak to.

I get quite lightheaded during things like this, she was very understanding and helpful.

I have recently been in for a consultation and treatment with Dr Aldridge for removal of some growths on my nose. The consultation process was very thorough and I had the opportunity to ask all the questions I wanted to. In terms of the treatment, this went well and I was made to feel at ease throughout the whole procedure. A bit useless. I booked a consultation for mole removal as it had been changing rapidly. I cancelled other appointments because Sk:n could fit me in same day. I got a phonecall 1 hour before the appointment to inform me of a "miscommunication" and that they'd have to push me into next week. Not great when you're dealing with a health matter of concern, and when you've cancelled other appointments in favour of this one. I was already on my way to the clinic.

I had a very disappointing experience with SKN Clinics and want to warn potential customers.
In late June, I contacted them to ask about laser treatments for thread veins. I explained on the phone that I only wanted an informal chat to understand what options were available, as I wasn’t sure whether I would go ahead with treatment. I was told this could be arranged with a £50 refundable deposit, which would either be returned if I didn’t proceed or used towards treatment if I did. That sounded reasonable, so I booked.
A few days before the appointment, I checked their website and noticed consultations were listed at £180, with a cancellation policy requiring 5 days’ notice. Concerned, I called to clarify. At that point, I was told I had actually been booked for a full consultation — not the brief chat I was originally promised — and that I would be charged £180 if I went ahead. I was also told I had lost my £50 deposit since I was now within the 5-day cancellation window. None of this was made clear during my first call.
On July 1st, I raised a complaint with a helpful staff member (Christopher Hopkins), who agreed I had been misled and assisted me with filing it. On July 2nd, I received an email confirming the matter would be resolved within 20 days. As of August 23rd, I have heard nothing further.
This experience has left me feeling misled and ignored. If this is how SKN Clinics handle a small issue, I dread to think how they might deal with something more serious. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. For example, I later went to Cavendish Clinics in John Lewis, where the consultation and patch test were both free, and the treatment itself was only £90. Had appointments cancelled for a laser hair removal session for several weeks in a row now as there is only one clinician and 0 provision if they're ill. Receptionist unhelpful and the reality is that this is treatment that needs to be timely otherwise it's £2800 down the drain. Also there's no AC unit or proper cooling in the clinician's room which means th... Show more »

Had appointments cancelled for a laser hair removal session for several weeks in a row now as there is only one clinician and 0 provision if they're ill. Receptionist unhelpful and the reality is that this is treatment that needs to be timely otherwise it's £2800 down the drain. Also there's no AC unit or proper cooling in the clinician's room which means the cooling jet for the laser doesn't work mid-way through a long session.
