I’ve been a regular client at DermaSkin for Botox and had always been happy with my experience, which is why this situation was particularly disappointing.
On one visit, I decided to try a small amount of lip filler. Shortly after, I noticed some unusual lines around the corners of my mouth and contacted the clinic via email to ask if this was normal and whether it would settle. I didn’t receive a response, so I followed up again. When they eventually got back to me, I was told that I would likely need more filler, which wasn’t what I had asked for or wanted.
I was then advised to book an appointment for an assessment with a new clinican, but was told I’d need to pay a deposit for additional filler, despite this being a concern following my initial treatment. I was later redirected back to the original practitioner, who told me there was no filler to dissolve and that the lines were simply natural ageing.
I didnt agree with this seeing as these lines had just come up after having fuller. I decided to get several second opinions from two separate clinicians elsewhere. Both confirmed that the issue was filler migration and recommended dissolving it. I went ahead with this treatment at another clinic, costing me £290, and the lines disappeared immediately afterwards which made me feel validated that it wasn't aging.
It was frustrating to feel dismissed and not properly supported by DermaSkin, especially as a returning client. I would have expected a more thorough assessment and appropriate aftercare, or at the very least, acknowledgment of my concerns. Instead, I had to seek and pay for corrective treatment elsewhere.
