This was my first appointment and I'm extremely disappointed with the experience I had with Therapie Clinic.

I had booked a HydraFacial appointment for 11am on Sun 14th. Around 5–10 MINUTES BEFORE my appointment time, I received a call informing me that my appointment had been cancelled because the therapist had experienced an allergic reaction the day before.

I understand that unexpected circumstances happen, and I have sympathy for anyone who is unwell. However, the way this was handled was unacceptable. I was told the therapist had an allergic reaction the day before (Sat 13th). If the clinic was aware the day before that the therapist was unable to work, appointments should have been cancelled with reasonable notice so clients had the opportunity to rearrange their plans. At the very least, morning appointments should have been cancelled the day before, and any afternoon appointments cancelled as early as possible on the day.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that clients are expected to provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for missed appointments. The same level of consideration should apply from the clinic’s side.

I called and asked to speak to a manager, but was told the manager was not working that day and that a call could be arranged for them to contact me the following day regarding my refund. It is now 12:10pm and I have still received no call. I have also tried calling five times within the last hour and no one has answered.

The cancellation itself was frustrating, but the lack of communication, follow-up, and customer service afterwards has been the biggest issue. I expected much better from a professional clinic.

***Update:*** I have now received a call at 12:23pm from the Assistant Manager. I was informed that they do not provide refunds and that I would need to speak to the Manager tomorrow.

I asked for the contact details of Head Office or an Area Manager so I could escalate the issue directly. I was instead given a generic email address and told that it would likely just “bounce” back to the clinic.

I then asked again for the direct contact details of the relevant senior manager, as speaking to the clinic manager tomorrow would likely result in the same response that refunds are not provided. I was told this was not possible and that the matter has to be escalated to the Manager first.

This has been a very disappointing experience. The original cancellation with almost no notice was already frustrating, but the lack of transparency, difficulty escalating the issue, and unwillingness to properly address the situation has made the customer service experience even worse.

I had a session today with Andrea and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely comfortable and welcome. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does.

Andrea took the time to understand exactly what I needed and explained everything in a way that made me feel confident and at ease. The whole session felt very personalised, not rushed at all, and you can really tell she cares about her clients and their results.

I left feeling amazing and already looking forward to my next session. I would highly recommend Andrea to anyone looking for someone skilled, attentive, and genuinely supportive.
