I’ve been having laser sessions at Laser Clinics Brighton with Jess and I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough. I’ve now had 9 sessions with her and she is absolutely fantastic. Jess is so kind, professional, and always makes me feel completely comfortable – even when it’s a bit daunting having to get undressed. She’s very accommodating, reassuring, and just such a genuinely lovely person to be around. All of the staff at the clinic are also so friendly and professional, which makes the whole process smooth and easy from start to finish. The staff at the clinic are always very friendly, flexible and accommodating. However it pains me to say that after 20 sessions over 1.5 years the results have been poor.

The consultation lasted minutes and they didn't do a patch test so had no way of knowing how the laser would interact with my skin. They didn't even look at or ask about my body hair despite offering a full body package. They have offers on nearly all the time and use this as a sales pressuring tactic. I was told I would need 10 sessions and maybe some top-ups after that.

For the first 10 sessions, I saw next to no improvement in the removal of my facial hair, although my body hair was looking ok. At the end of this block they told me I actually needed 16 sessions and, you wouldn't believe it, they just happened to have a sale on again. So I bought another 6 sessions. It seems a little too convenient that it was after this point I began to notice a reduction in my facial hair.

On my 16th session they claimed there were new vellus hairs growing on my back - in an area I can't really see myself - and that I would need more sessions to deal with it after it turns terminal. Timing again seemed very convenient for them. After a 17th session I decided to discontinue full body and carry on doing face only. My stomach, chest, shoulder, back and underarm hair nearly all came back with very little long-term reduction, asides from being finer. I did see better results on my arms and legs, which implies to me that they were not adjusting the laser settings appropriately for all areas of the body.

When I cut down to face only and started paying less, they decided my sessions needed to be closer together, I assume so that I would be paying more frequently. I continued to see no long-term improvement in my face. I still have a lot of chin and upper lip hair and it causes me so much distress. It disappears for a bit but grows straight back. I suspect they are not using the laser on a high enough setting to kill the follicles, just stun them. I have had a consultation elsewhere and learnt that where their treatment has thinned the hair out rather than remove it, it will now be harder to treat and remove.

I regret not allowing myself to question things sooner and blindly trusting them for as long as I did. It's been a whole lot of time and money down the drain on top of the impact it's had on my mental health. Show less »

I have been getting laser hair removal at Laser Clinics UK - Brighton for about half a year, and the service they have provided has always been exceptional. I have sensitive skin that gets irritated easily, but thanks to their advice and following their recommendations, my skin has never been irritated again. I’m very happy to have chosen this place; they are super friendly, remember you, and I can always see them smiling. Hattie and Lola usually do my laser treatments, and they have been great. The receptionists and other staff are great too. I wouldn't go anywhere else. But I have to say thank you specially to Lola for her hard work as she seems to always be working long shifts and provides an amazing service to me! Show less »
