After a dreadful and extremely painful experience with Ruth last year, I was left disfigured with pea size lumps under my eyes -this was after what was supposed to be a simple skin booster treatment.
This was not due to an allergic reaction, it was caused by her using the incorrect technique in my tear trough and using cheap filler without my permission.
My face was so badly swollen and bruised from Ruth’s “simple procedure” that i could not leave my house for over a week, the lumps were still prominent for over a month after seeing her - this was further compounded by her also prescribing me medication that should not be used under the eyes and caused further damage to my skin.
I was in a mess - devastated at the damage to my face and embarrassed to go out of my house.
Ruth would not talk or communicate with me, she has commented below that she got in touch with me to address my concerns - this is not true, she ignored my emails and calls after treating and mis-prescribing medication to me.
Written requests for medical insurance have to date been ignored. Ruth did not have medical insurance when she treated me.
A friend recommended a brilliant aesthetics doctor lead clinic in Clifton, I have since undergone 10 painful tear trough dissolving treatments in the space of 10 months.
I have complained to the NMC about Ruth’s prescribing, treatment and professional conduct - they have upheld my complaint and she is currently under investigation.
Ruth failed to act appropriately when things went wrong and this should be how a medical professional is really judged, how a nurse should be judged. This medical professional simply cut me off - she ignored the fact that she had very clearly harmed me.
I strongly advise anyone considering going to this woman to avoid her at all costs.
Please only consider treatments with professional doctor lead clinics that are genuinely insured and equipped to deal with problems if they arise - injectables are medical procedures NOT beauty treatments.
Sole traders, one man bands, working out of a booth in a shop like Ruth simply have nothing to lose in an unregulated industry.
Many of the reviews on here are from her Husband and family.
All I can do is leave her this honest review.
My experience with this woman has been truly horrendous.
Fortunately the practice and Doctor I see in Clifton are simply outstanding - they have renewed my faith in the aesthetics industry.

I would highly recommend coming to Ruth if you’re looking to get any filler done she was extremely thorough during consultation. Really understood what it was we were treating and really helped advise me on what was best. Made sure that I was comfortable and happy the whole way through she did before and after pictures and we compared them after my treatment... Show more »

Ruths knowlede, professionalism and technique is second to none - she listens to what her client wants, including minor tweeks to ensure that her clients needs are always met. Where do I start?! After years of watching and waiting for the right aesthetician to go to, Ruth at Frontalis won hands down. Her knowledge and expertise is second to none.

Her knowledge was displayed in an abundance, took time to explain and point out crucial parts of my facial anatomy and the importance of placement of product. I have visited Ruth on a number of occasions now for anti-wrinkle treatment and the process of the injection, the aftercare and results are just phenomenal.

I take great care with whom I visit for aesthetics and will only use a registered clinician and it really does pay off!

I would recommend Ruth highly to anyone who is thinking about aesthetics and also anyone with a current non-registered aesthetics practitioner.
