I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.
I underwent a course of Morpheus8 treatments at Aesthetics of The Royal Liver Building. My concern was skin tightening around the outer areas of my face — under my eyes was not an area I was worried about or seeking treatment for.
For my final session, despite booking with my usual practitioner, I was told on arrival that she was not in and that my appointment had been switched to another therapist without prior consultation. I was only made aware once I was already in the treatment room and did not feel clearly offered the option to rebook.
During that session, the device was used very close under my eyes and felt significantly more intense than previous treatments.
The following morning, I woke with extreme swelling and fluid beneath both eyes — something I had never experienced before. I contacted the clinic and was told this was normal and would settle.
It did not.
Weeks later, I was left with persistent swelling and two visible dents beneath both eyes that were not present prior to that treatment. The hollowing has significantly altered my appearance and left me looking constantly tired. To develop a visible issue in an area that was not originally of concern has been extremely upsetting.
I returned to see Sarah Buenas, who agreed the area looked swollen and that visible dents were present. Lymphatic drainage was arranged but made no difference. I was then referred for Endolift consultation where filler was suggested. As I have never required filler and am aware of its risks, I did not feel it was appropriate to begin filler treatment to address an issue that developed following this session.
After seeking independent advice, I understand that significant hollowing and persistent oedema under the eyes are not typical outcomes when this treatment is performed appropriately and may be associated with aggressive application or excessive energy in delicate areas. Given how different this session felt, I have serious concerns about the technique used.
After distress and lack of follow-up, I sought legal advice. A solicitor worked on my case for over 12 months. Documentation was eventually received from the clinic’s insurers, and I was informed that insurance-related coverage matters meant the claim could not proceed.
I am now facing the prospect of funding corrective surgery myself in an area I did not originally attend to treat.
I have since contacted the clinic twice requesting communication and resolution but have received no meaningful response.
I have not sought compensation. I simply requested a refund of the fees I paid so I could put that money towards corrective surgery. I felt this was reasonable under the circumstances, but no resolution has been offered.
In my experience, the lack of communication and aftercare has been extremely disappointing. Patients undergoing advanced aesthetic procedures should feel properly informed of risks and supported if complications arise. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment to thoroughly research practitioner experience, complication management processes and insurance arrangements before proceeding. Show less »

I booked a Hydrafacial as a bit of overdue self-care while coming to the end of breastfeeding, and honestly- what an incredible experience. I walked out looking like a different person.

The therapist was absolutely lovely: warm, knowledgeable and constantly sharing useful info throughout the treatment without it ever feeling overwhelming. I learned so much, felt completely at ease, and my skin has genuinely never looked better.

I’m a total convert now. I couldn’t recommend this treatment more and will definitely be budgeting to make it a regular part of my routine. Absolute game-changer! Show less »

I absolutely love the clinic ! The aesthetics of the building are beautiful and the whole atmosphere is so calm and welcoming. The clinic is spotless, professional and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in.

On my first visit, I had a skin analysis and consultation, which was really helpful and informative. Today I saw Ellie for the second time and she was amazing once again. I had a HydraFacial with her and it was incredible – so relaxing and my skin feels amazing already. Ellie is so friendly, professional and makes the whole experience so enjoyable.

I had a Sofwave treatment today with Joanna and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Joanna was incredibly kind and informative, taking time to clearly explain everything beforehand, from how the machine works, to what the treatment process involved, how long it would take, and what I could expect to feel both during and after.
She also gave me great advice on the serums to use going forward to get the best results, which I really appreciated. Her calm and professional manner made me feel completely at ease.
