I chose Montrose Clinic based on its 5-star reviews and initially felt confident booking. I went in to treat pigmentation and was advised that BBL would be a suitable option, with a course of three sessions recommended alongside a very expensive ZO Skin routine.

After two sessions and over £2,000 spent on treatments and skincare (which I used for months), I saw no improvement in my pigmentation, so I did not proceed with the third session. I have generally very good skin with no history of acne or scarring, my only concern was pigmentation. I also have a medium skin tone and am aware caution is needed with BBL on tanned skin, which the clinic were aware of from the start and still advised me to proceed. The skincare I was recommended led to breakouts and marks I had not experienced before.

I raised both the lack of results and my reaction to the products during my visits. Despite this, I later felt the lack of results was being attributed to me not using retinol, even though I had explained my skin was already reacting to the products I had been advised to use.

The only solution presented to me was to move on to a stronger laser (Halo), even at a discounted rate. The offer of a free patch test only came after I questioned why I should spend more money when the initial treatment had not worked. I went ahead with the free patch test and saw no difference in my pigmentation, and had I not pushed back on further spend, I would have ended up paying even more for the same outcome. After seeing no difference from the patch test, I told the clinic I would be happy to come in again if there was a solution that did not involve spending more money after the previous treatments had not worked for me, but I never received a response to that.

I also referred my sister to the clinic, which makes the experience even more disappointing.

I am now left with scars I have not experienced before, no improvement in pigmentation, and significant money spent without results. While the team are polite, there was no meaningful reassessment when the treatment wasn’t working, other than being directed towards spending more money.

Dr Williams has the perfect balance of being genuinely warm and friendly with a wonderful bedside manner, whilst also being an exceptionally talented and meticulous surgeon. I first went to see Georgie Williams just as her beautiful clinic opened and from the moment I walked through the gates, I knew there was something special about Montrose. Not only is the decor the most beautiful and sumptuous of any clinic I have ever been in, but the treatments I have had have been excellent.
The first thing Georgie did was a full analysis of my face. She explained how the filler I had previously had at another clinic had migrated and I would need to have it dissolved which I was not keen to do. However, I am so glad I trusted Georgie as once I had had them dissolved and expertly refilled, I was so happy with the result. Almost 2 years on and my lips are still a fantastic shape.
I also trusted Georgie to fill my naso labial folds and again, the results were excellent.
I have always struggled with getting botox to look natural and not overly frozen. However, Georgie was also able to freeze my fine lines whilst not making me look over done and expressionless.
I have now had a consultation with Georgie for a lower blepharoplasty as there is no other surgeon in London that I would trust with my face. Show less »
