After 15+ years of feeling very self conscious about my under-eye bags, and trying everything else, I finally accepted they were genetic (thanks, Dad!) and that surgery was the only real solution.
After LOTS of research and recommendations, I booked a consultation with Mr Marando at STAR Clinic. He was professional, honest, understanding and reassuring — clearly explaining the procedure, recovery and realistic results. His calm, thorough and transparent approach made me feel completely confident and at ease.
I decided to have both upper and lower blepharoplasty, and the care from the whole STAR team was outstanding - from consultation to aftercare. Also the nursing care during my surgery was amazing.
Almost 4 weeks on, with a little concealer, you’d never know I’d had surgery! And I know this is still early days.
The results are transformational - I feel confident, refreshed, and like myself again, no longer hiding under glasses I don’t need to wear.
I can’t thank Mr Marando and the team enough for their skill, precision and care, and my only regret is not doing it sooner. Show less »

From start to finish this was the best service. Mr Marando has a very calm and reassuring manner. He listens to you (I’ve certainly had consultations with others when this was not the case). I could not be happier with my results, they are better than I ever imagined, he has made me look a better version of myself. Some friends have looked at me wondering what is a bit different. Others have not noticed at all. It is so subtle a difference which is exactly what I wanted. Another friend just said "you look good have you been away." Everyone involved at the Clinic were so kind, attentive and thorough at all times such a brilliant team. I would definitely recommend this clinic.
