The Cooden Medical Group - Veins & Aesthetics Clinic in Bexhill on Sea

I was a little nervous attending my appointment as I wasn't sure what to expect but Mr Bjorn Turgenkamp put me at my ease and explained everything clearly. He informed me of possible options and took time to clarify things. I was very happy with the consultation.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The ladies at reception were so friendly and welcoming, the practise was spotless, and the dermatologist was incredibly experienced, professional, and kind. I felt well looked after and will definitely be recommending this practise to others. Thank you!

I was very pleased with my visit on Saturday. Louis was extremely professional , he explained the procedure and was very helpful in aiding me before and after as I have limitations on my left side. I was very pleased with my visit on Saturday. Louis was extremely professional , he explained the procedure and was very helpful in aiding me before and after as I have limitations on my left side. This makes dressing and undressing a problem if I don’t have help.
I would also like to praise the receptionists. When I arrived, they could see that I was struggling to climb the 2 steps. One of them, apologies I can’t remember her name, came out and escorted me to the back entrance which was all on one level. She also arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the back when I was ready to go home. A very pleasant and helpful experience from all concerned. Show less »

I saw Mr. Mark Edwards about my veins and was most impressed with his professionalism and thoroughness. Mr. Edwards took the time to explain the procedure and made me feel at ease. But, once I got home, I started fretting about my situation and despite the fact that it was a Saturday and Mr. Edwards was on holiday, he took the trouble to respond to my query.... Show more »

My first experience with the Cooden Vein Clinic was excellent. Treatment was successful for varicose veins on my legs (Back). However, I developed further veins a few years later on the front lower leg. I returned for treatment and went through the directed motions for recovery religiously. Unfortunately it appeared that they looked worse than prior to treatment after a few months. I revisited with my concerns and was reassured that this was normal and that over time they would fade though veins still prodruding and dark patches surrounding the area. Again I waited for improvement and again contacted the clinic for advice. I wasn’t invited back for any assessment and instead was informed that this issue can occur and that the blood from the veins treated need to find another route which is what possibly occurred. Now 3 years later and no change, in fact have worsened. I didn’t see the point in contacting the clinic due to my previous response however I wanted to write this review to make others aware that this issue can occur and that little or no support is provided if such problems arise. It’s an expensive procedure for most, especially when it doesn’t work. Show less »

Attended this clinic today for a procedure completed by Mr Gouws. He was very professional by puting at me at ease and talking through each stage. Everyone there were friendly which ensured a good experience.

Mr Edward’s has been extremely helpful and very professional during my visits to his clinic.

On arrival at this clinic, was introduced to the receptionist and given a medical form to fill in about my medical history. The clinic was very clean and staff very friendly. I was then taken to a consulting room where l met Mr Edwards, the consultant and he clearly explained the procedure that he thought would be the better option for me.l completely felt relaxed and understood what was recommended. No decision was made at the appointment as l wanted to think about the possibilities for myself and no pressure was put upon me. I have know made a decision and will contact the clinic to confirm. Very professional and friendly clinic. Had upper eyelid surgery. Everything was explained fully at each stage and was not as bad as I had anticipated. Chatted to me through procedure, explaining what next was to be done and general conversation. Special thanks to Charlotte for guiding me to my car. My husband was with me but I felt safer with both.

I had a very positive experience at Cooden Medical group, everyone was very polite and helpful. The procedure I needed was done excellently, pain free with lots of explanations to what to expect. My appointments were always prompt on time or even early. Definitely recommend.

Totally painless procedure, although obviously not fun! I didn't have any pain the following day and I felt I was in good hands. I was also amazed to see that a letter detailing my procedure had been sent to my GP within two days and that it was on my NHS app.
I would definitely recommend Mr. Gouws for anything like this and you can take your mind off what is being done by chatting about air fryers - he is also an expert on those! Show less »

All my treatments have been carried out expertly and in a carefully caring manner.
At each appointment ,time has been given to make sure I am comfortable with the treatment I am having. I cannot recommend Dr k Dickson enough. Also the girls on the desk are always friendly and helpful.
