I received a gift voucher for a half day spa, and booked mid week on a Wednesday. The spa was quite busy, but it was still easy to find a quiet spot.

The team were very warm and welcoming, and had an ice cold drink ready and waiting for me. On such a hot day, this was very well received! I found every member of the team to be friendly and helpful throughout the day. A special mention to Jo, who gave me the best back massage I’ve had in years as part of the revive and rebalance ritual. The afternoon tea was lovely and portions were very large, with a good balance of sweet and savoury. I am writing this review to raise a complaint regarding my recent visit to Greenway Spa Cheltenham, where I had booked a day spa experience to celebrate my birthday.

Unfortunately, the treatment was deeply disappointing and far from the relaxing experience I had expected. During my massage, the therapist spoke continuously throughout the session. The nature and volume of the conversation made it impossible to relax and, at times, left me feeling uncomfortable. A spa treatment should provide rest and tranquillity, and this was completely lacking.

In addition, the quality of the massage itself was poor and did not meet even basic expectations of professional spa standards.

Upon leaving, I raised my concerns with a member of staff at reception. I was told that this was not the first time a complaint of this nature had been made. I find it very concerning that management appear to be aware of ongoing issues yet have not taken effective steps to address them.

This experience was particularly upsetting given that it was meant to be a birthday treat. I feel that the service I received did not reflect the standard advertised or expected, and I would appreciate a response outlining how you intend to address this matter. I would also welcome consideration of an appropriate resolution. Show less »

One of the most disappointing experiences I've paid for. I explicitly stated that I wanted a head, neck, shoulder massage when booking and asked multiple times if that was possible, to which I was reassured it was absolutely possible. Before the massage began, I reiterated I didnt like back massages and really wanted a head massage as i also had a stiff upper neck. The massage itself was heavily focused on my back, with no time spent on my neck and only 1 minute spent on my head with a short squeeze. Bitterly disappointing. The atmosphere in general is nice and the changing rooms are clean. The showers were lovely and warm. The front desk staff and waiter were friendly. The afternoon tea was average. However, for the price, it was a bit of a miserable experience, and I would rather have been told they couldn't provide the massage I requested. I would never come back here again. Show less »

Birthday Treat. We had afternoon tea, which was so pretty and tasty (noted my dairy free allergy request on arrival).we couldn't managed the scones at the time, so our cream tea was boxed up for us to take home. Lovely spa I have been here before but lockers in the ladies changing rooms are a big issue as they don’t lock, lady from reception came and helped me and had to pop her own code in so i when I needed to open my locker later I had to let her know, when we got back to my locker after 5 hours it had already been opened and the door was wide open! Luckily nothing had been taken but I was far from impressed, the lady on reception said they have a major problem which management are aware of! I’m not sure if I would return to be honest, the afternoon tea was lovely but very disorganised, and staff were saying one of you vegetarian but neither of us were, they were confusing us with another table, then we were asked if we were ready for our afternoon tea when we had already had it, but were waiting for scones.
