I’ve had filler which I have always been happy with for over 18 years. However as I’ve aged and am now in my 50’s I reached a point where the cumulative affect of the filler was not only hiding my features and expressions but the effect of gravity made me look older. I understand this is common in my generation so almost half of us are now getting filler dissolved. Getting used to one’s appearance of not having significant lines and looking plumped means that the thought of changing that, as much as we want to, can be daunting as there is the fear of waking up having aged 15 years overnight if we get filler dissolved.
This is where Dr Jane Moon is outstanding. From the moment she meets you her warm and friendly demeanor immediately puts you at ease but most importantly she takes the time to truly listen to your concerns, communicate them back to you while assessing whether they are realistically achievable while weighing up the risks and the benefits and explaining the outcome. It’s as if times stands still for Dr Jane when she is with you and her entire artistic and medical competence is focussed entirely on a programme for your best outcome. I’ve attended some of the best practitioners and without hesitation Dr Jane Moon’s dedication to achieve youthful facial balancing is unrivalled. Dr Jane Moon does not chase trends. She will clearly state why something being asked is not appropriate and may have longer term negative effects and unnecessary cost. By carefully assessing the underlying structure of the face and skin quality she gives her considered opinion on the best available options. I’ve never seen anyone walk out over filled or with lips that look remotely unnatural or a pulled face that smacks of ‘she’s had work.’ This is subtle, youthful tweaking that makes you walk out feeling happy and where your natural face and contours are respected. Back to my recent story. For about a year I had been unhappy with what was increasingly looking like pillow face. The filler over almost two decades had accumulated and was great when injected and I had had the benefit of always looking youthful but now with its cumulative effect and my ageing it had reached a point where it was having the opposite effect. I was concerned if the filler was dissolved that I would walk out with sunken eyes and jowls and cheeks. I had not seen Dr Jane for some time as I had experienced family bereavement so when I went to see her about these concerns she approached them with her meticulous and conservative skillset to dissolve my old migrated filler. Dr Moon takes the time to get to know her clients. Her precision in carefully dissolving filler over several appointments promoted a safe process of dissolving while preserving my natural tissue and allowed my own healing to reduce the ‘shock effect’. I now have the features of my 20 year old self with natural aging. It took four long appointments to slowly reduce filler so my natural contours and expressions became visible. Ironically as we age that is a youthful attribute. A week after each session one don the mirror and smiled and could see my full smile without my eye size being compromised. This was not followed by extensive - refilling but one session of very light Bolotero injected at precise points. And here I am. Dr Jane Moon’s slow and steady, precise, artistic, corrections while explaining exactly what she is doing has resulted in me looking my most flattering without looking fake. Thank you Dr Jane Moon. Over the years I’ve had anti-wrinkle injections (Botox) and dermal fillers for my nose and cheeks, and the results have always been subtle, balanced and beautifully executed. I’ve visited Jane for a couple treatments now, masseter botox and fillers, and I’ve been so happy under her care! She really listens to you, and is very honest and upfront about what she thinks is worth treating vs what isn’t, as well as explaining realistic expectations. She’s also been great about tailoring her suggestions based on the look I said I wanted - as I personally prefer a slightly different aesthetic to what tends to be popular in western beauty. She’s knowledgeable, precise, and has a really caring and thorough approach to help you achieve what you want.

Also, when I had a concern about a possible side effect I was experiencing (I wasn’t sure if it was related to my treatment or not, and I don’t think it was in the end), she was incredibly quick to call me to discuss and reassure me, which I really appreciated (and the issue went away very quickly after anyway).
