The clinic was amazing- they found me an appointment within a few days and referred me to Dr Takas who specializes in root canals. I’ve had several root canals done in my life in several countries I lived in (UK, Canada and USA) and this was hands down the best experience I had. Dr Takas was lovely, professional and so efficient. I have never had a root canal done in 1h and this case was a complex one! It was completely painless, he explained what he was doing which even made it interesting and it was really good pricing- I couldn’t believe my luck! I’ve always hated having root canals done, but honestly this made it feel so much better. The experience was so good, I’m changing my dental practice. Very happy with the care and service at Brighton Dental clinic- staff are always super friendly and polite, and I get great continuity of care from Laura (dentist) and Victoria (hygienist) who I have seen every six months for several years. They kindly managed to find me a cancellation appointment much sooner than I expected, which I really appreciated.
Dr Lynsey gave me the most thorough dental assessment I’ve ever had. She was incredibly gentle throughout, took the time to explain everything clearly, and provided practical guidance on how to look after my oral health over the coming year. Most importantly, I felt she was completely honest in her recommendations, which gave me total confidence and trust in her advice.

She really is a bright spot in the practice. My hygienist, Denisse DeCastro, is fantastic. I’ve had painful and uncomfortable experiences with hygienists in the past, but with Denisse everything is completely smooth and pain-free. Her technique is so gentle but thorough, and my gums and teeth have never been better. I also want to mention Daniel, the dentist I used to see. He was always excellent and I really liked him. The only reason I’m currently registered with an NHS dentist is financial, but as soon as I have a bit more flexibility, I fully intend to return to Daniel because he was brilliant. Overall, the whole team is kind, professional, and genuinely caring. I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. Show less »

The staff are very rude and i regret ever signing the contract to get treatment with them. You have to wait ages to be seen and they rush appointments and charge you if you are late even though they are always late and rushed. I was a new patient at Brighton Dental Clinic and want to share my experience as a warning to others — don’t be misled by the ratings as I was.

I had a 9:10 appointment with the hygienist, but due to a delayed bus I arrived at 9:18. While still within my booked time slot, I was refused treatment. I even received a call at 9:15 while already on my way, and by the time I stepped into the clinic in person at 9:18, I was told the appointment was cancelled and was charged a £30 “failed to attend” fee. The explanation was that the hygienist sessions are only 20 minutes and fully booked back-to-back — something I was never informed of in advance. On my previous initial assessment appointment, however, I had to wait more than 20 minutes for the dentist, which shows that the clinic does not apply the same strict standards to themselves. A two-way understanding should be the norm in healthcare, but sadly it wasn’t here.

The practice manager, Gemma Ellison, handled the situation with a rigid and unsympathetic tone. There was no attempt to find a middle ground, reschedule without a fee, or use the remaining time — just cancellation and a fee I was charged automatically. Even obtaining a receipt for this became unnecessarily difficult. The whole interaction felt cold, transactional, and focused on money rather than care.

My first evaluation appointment also felt rushed and very rudimentary. Overall, the clinic gives the impression of being profit-driven rather than patient-centered, which is enough for me to discontinue this clinic which I first visited only 2 weeks ago.

This complaint is not about the £30, but about the punitive attitude and lack of understanding for a very reasonable delay. Future patients should be aware of how this clinic operates before booking. Show less »

I can’t recommend Brighton Dental Clinic enough. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. I’ve always been self-conscious about a fake tooth at the front of my mouth, it was discoloured and never quite right. Lyndsey really listened to me, explained all the options clearly and worked within my budget. I honestly didn’t think I could ever love my smile, but now I do!

Also, a huge thank you to hygienist Victoria, who was so kind and attentive during what could’ve been a very uncomfortable experience.
