I had my crown replaced at this practice because it had a small chip, and the entire experience was incredibly upsetting.
The dentist was an over-promiser and underachiever. During the consultation, nothing was mentioned about the replacement crown not being an exact match, nor was I told that replacing it would result in my gap returning and potentially undoing previous treatment. Had I been given that information, I would have made a very different decision.
When I raised concerns that the new crown looked nothing like my natural tooth, I was gaslighted. I was told that I had been informed it wouldn’t be an exact match, which was a LIE. I was also told that the crown was “such a perfect blend,” despite it being obvious to me that it wasn’t & was very insulting how visibly upset I was by it. I had provided photographs and clear examples of my original tooth shape, yet the final result looked completely different. It wasn’t that I was asking for the impossible—it seemed they simply couldn’t recreate the shape I had clearly requested then tried to say my expectations were high? How do you go to dentistry school for years and still mess up.
The experience left me in tears on multiple occasions. Eventually, I was offered a refund and told that they couldn’t continue treating me because they couldn’t provide the tooth I wanted. That explanation didn’t reflect what had actually happened. The issue was that they were unable to produce a crown resembling my original tooth despite all the information I had supplied.
To make matters worse, after experiencing sensitivity in the tooth that had been worked on, the practice booked me an appointment. On the day of the appointment, it was cancelled. When I called to find out why, I was told I had been removed from the practice because I had accepted a refund and the notes stated once a refund was issued I should not be seen. This made no sense. If they intended to remove me as a patient, why book the appointment in the first place without informing me? If I hadn’t accepted the refund until after that appointment, would it still have been cancelled? The whole situation felt poorly handled and left me feeling dismissed.
Overall, I found the practice to be unprofessional, disorganised, and lacking in compassion. I left feeling misled, unsupported, and emotionally distressed. I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience.
