I have had many treatments with Alison over the years, and after having experienced other practitioners, I have returned to Alison as she is by FAR the best I have ever used.
Not only is she a warm, lovely person, she puts you at ease, explains everything she is going to do before she does it. She is very thorough and will always go over what you want and expect from your treatment.
Not every practitioner I have used provides the care Alison does, she cleanses the area, uses cold packs, and uses arnica. She is gentle and careful.
She takes great care, and she also really does care, and it shows because she wants to give you want you want and goes the extra mile for you.
She will advise you if she thinks what you want wont work for you, she is an experienced practitioner and knows precisely your muscles in your face and what may or may not work.
I cant leave this review without also mentioning Lou, Alisons receptionist/assistant, again another lovely lady and total professional who has been a constant reassuring presence in the time I've been coming to the surgery, which is over a decade.

I do not hesitate to recommend A J Brown to anyone considering treatments, I wont go anywhere else. Show less »

Truly fantastic service, I broke my denture on Friday morning, phoned at 9 am, dropped denture in at 10am and collected Monday 10am. This, I have to say was amazing. I've been a regular(ish) patient of Alison & Louise for some years now, and as someone who suffers with a serious lifelong phobia of dentists (to the point I've needed sedation before arriving)... Truly fantastic service, I broke my denture on Friday morning, phoned at 9 am, dropped denture in at 10am and collected Monday 10am. This, I have to say was amazing. I have been going for regular dental check-ups with Alison and Louise since 1986 and have always been impressed with how efficiently they work together as a Professional Team!

You are always welcomed with a cheery smile and they both listen attentively and provide reassurance when you are feeling a bit unsure or nervous. They have a way of putting you at ease and providing a calming influence, as well as having a great sense of humour and positive attitude.

I enjoy having a sociable chat whenever I arrive and always feel there is time to relax before my consultation.

On arrival you are welcomed in to a homely atmosphere in the Waiting Room with fresh flowers sitting in the window. There is a comfy and cosy sofa whilst you wait, although appointments always run efficiently and on time. The Surgery is meticulously organised with excellent hygiene standards.

I have recently contacted the Surgery urgently as a result of a chipped tooth and suspected abscess and I was able to arrange an appointment at short notice, which gave me such relief and reassurance!

I always feel in safe hands when undergoing treatment by Alison and Louise. Before examinations, Alison asks thorough health questions and is happy to provide any information or explanations.

Over the years, Alison has provided me with excellent advice regarding general dental care and maintenance. She has also referred me to a Specialist when I required urgent treatment to preserve my gum health. Due to her professional expertise in making this decision, my gum health has greatly improved, for which I am very grateful!

Dr Alison and her assistant Louise are professional, give honest expected outcomes and are so friendly that you relax completely knowing instinctively you're in good hands.

My first impressions were, what a lovely lady!!! Alison took time to listen to my fears and was very sympathetic. This led me to book an appointment with her straight away. The service I received whilst at the surgery was outstanding. Alison is very thorough and professional and most importantly a very friendly and approachable person. Although I now live an hours drive from the surgery, I continue to attend for check ups and dental work as the service I receive far outweighs the journey. Keep up the great work!!! Show less »
