I arrived for my appointment and was finally called in 30 minutes late. I was then told they were not able to do my Botox as they were not trained and it had been booked wrong. They booked me in for the next day. I thought when I got home to check the price would still have been the same but they booked me in with a Dr. I found out only because I phone that it would be £80 more. Not only did I waste a day's annual leave pay for parking they also expected me to pay £80 extra for their mistake. Prior to the new takeover I already lost out for booking 2 areas and only receiving 1. Nobody has called me to apologise which is disappointing. Show less »

Had a pretty bad experience here. I bought 6 sessions of tattoo laser removal and only managed to attend 4. After my first 3 sessions, the only certified lady who was allowed to do the procedure quit, and nobody informed me. I showed up for my next appointment only to be told, “Oh sorry, she quit some time ago, and we don’t know when someone new will be available.” That was the first red flag.

Two months passed, and I suddenly received a message saying I missed an appointment I never scheduled. Turns out they booked it without telling me, and then blamed me for not showing up. I asked about it, and they just went “Oops, our bad but we won’t reimburse you.” So there goes one session and money, completely wasted.

Eventually, a new technician started and I finally had my 4th session. Then came time for what should’ve been my last appointment. I had to reschedule due to a family emergency (my partner was in the hospital). I called ahead, they said it was no problem and rescheduled me. Yet again, I get a “no-show” notification. Called back, and one lady told me it was their mistake and they’d rebook me. A few minutes later, another lady tells me the opposite, that her colleague was wrong and they won’t reschedule me after all. 🤷‍♀️

So basically, I lost money for two sessions, wasted 2–3 months due to their staffing issues, and had to deal with chaotic, unprofessional communication the whole way through.

Wouldn’t recommend. Poor customer service and zero accountability. Show less »

I have nearly finished my prepaid treatment at the Newcastle clinic and the results have been amazing. Wish I'd have done it sooner! Special mention to Oprah who is knowledgeable and approachable making me feel at ease with every appointment. The staff and the clinic is really welcoming and are a credit to the sk:n brand.

Everyone is so lovely in the Newcastle clinic and they all make you feel so comfortable. I’ve got the rest of my prepaid for package to complete and am planning further treatment. I couldn’t recommend more!

Disappointing experience. Twice cancelled my appointment in the last two weeks. On the second occasion, the nurse was not there, and the staff at Optical express tried to contact her, but to no avail. Waited 45 minutes and then left. Was supposed to be caring for my elderly mother who came out of hospital a day before, and my sister came to cover in my absen... Show more »

After an incident last year and a new systems in place, Oprah and Natalie have worked hard to put a new treatment plan in place. With every appointment I have made me feel comfortable and always put at ease. Excellent treatments and results! I wished I'd opted for treatment years ago and was so impressed that I've rebooked for another area. I've recommended to friends and family who have also gone ahead for other treatments and are very pleased with the results. The girls are very welcoming and accommodating - thank you Natalie and Oprah who even squeezed me in earlier when I showed up at the wrong time (!) in and out in less than 10 minutes and very satisifed with results.

Staff are lovely and welcoming! Treatment was done efficiently and the members of staff always made me feel comfortable during my consultation and appointments. Would completely recommend to anyone who needs laser hair removal or suffers from acne. Overall a great experience and wonderful service. :)

My first laser session was done yesterday, originally I was looking at whole body but as I have thick hair decided to go with just my back and shoulders.
I was running late to my appointment I called the clinic and the lady on the phone was friendly and helpful. The staff at the clinic were all helpful on arrival, and the clinician doing my treatment was knowledgeable and put my mind at ease straight away.
I would have no problem recommending this clinic to anyone it's clean as you would expect with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Show less »
