I’ve been a Laser Clinics client since 2022 in other branches with no issues. The Leeds branch is a disaster.

When I knew I’d be out of town, I tried to reschedule and called many times. No answer. Their system says “leave a voicemail” — I left multiple voicemails. No one ever called back.

Two days before the appointment, I received an automated SMS — clearly no one had listened to anything. I called again repeatedly. No answer. Left another voicemail. Still no response.

I went to the clinic in person and explained everything calmly. The answer:

“The system says you didn’t show. The appointment is cancelled. You already paid. There is nothing we can do.”

So they took my money for an appointment I tried repeatedly to reschedule, but they were completely unreachable.

No effort to check voicemails.
No effort to check call history.
No effort to be fair.
Just hiding behind: “the system doesn’t allow it.”

They’re clearly understaffed — I even asked to see a doctor on a previous visit and was told none was available.

I will use my last already-paid session and never come back. If you book here and something goes wrong, you will lose your money and no one will help you. Show less »

I am very disappointed with my experience. I booked a package of six sessions. I used three sessions and still had three remaining. However, when I visited today, I was told that my remaining sessions had expired.

When I first joined the clinic, I specifically asked about expiration, and I was told that I could still use the sessions even after one year. In fact, I did use sessions after one year before, so I was very surprised to hear that the rules had changed, or that I was given incorrect information.

At no point was I informed that the sessions would expire, and I did not receive any reminder or notification about an expiration date. If the policy has changed, customers should be clearly informed.

Because of this situation, I believe it would be fair to either refund the unused sessions or provide proper reminders before expiration. I am very disappointed with how this has been handled. Show less »

I was refused treatment in a way that felt discriminatory, as the explanation focused on my ethnicity rather than an individual skin assessment.

I have a light skin tone (equivalent to Fitzpatrick Type II), and the same type of laser equipment is commonly used in clinics in South Korea for people with similar skin tones. Despite this, my appointment was cancelled.

When I suggested a patch test as a reasonable way to address any safety concerns, this option was not offered or accepted, and no alternative assessment was provided.

As a result, my time and expenses were wasted, and I left feeling unfairly treated. I hope the clinic reviews how suitability is assessed and ensures customers are evaluated individually and professionally, without assumptions.

Update:
For clarity, no clinical test, device-based assessment, or patch test was performed prior to my skin being labelled as Fitzpatrick III.
During the recorded telephone call, I was told that Korean clients are classified as Type III without testing, and in person my skin type was determined based on appearance alone.
I have written manufacturer guidance from Candela confirming that ethnicity is not a contraindication, that Fitzpatrick II–III are approved, and that patch testing is recommended where there is uncertainty.
I am seeking accuracy and transparency, not conflict. Show less »

Just a bit of feedback regarding customer service. The phone never gets picked up whenever I call, I leave a voice message but never get a response. This is over 5x I have tried to ring. Please do better regarding this.

I have been going here for years for laser hair removal. If you’re debating whether to get a laser hair removal or not, just do it. The staff are friendly and professional. The location is ideal if you live in the city centre and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I find some staff now are really rude. There's no nice chit chat and they're obviously very time pressured. In and out very quickly.
I also really struggle changing and booking appointments. No one answers the phone - no matter what time you ring - and the booking system online doesn't work when modifying appointments. Staff have even acknowledged the online booking system is poor - so why not try and fix it?
I believe you have to give 48 hours notice to change an appointment but how can you do this when you don't answer the phone and the booking system doesn't work? So you inevitably loose the appointment.
Recently staff have also started drawing on skin in pink highlighter?? Doesn't really give the high end feel!! The white pencil was much better.
Sometimes the treatment rooms are freezing - I know they have to be kept cool for the laser machine but it's horrible 'bearing all' in the cold. Some staff do keep the rooms warmer so I'm wonder if it's staff preference/ room location?
And finally, really not a fan of sharing goggles with everyone. They look really grimey and I usually give them a wipe before wearing. Could do without an eye infection.
Like I said, good laser results, poor customer service. So pleased I've now finished my course, I won't be returning even with their lower prices. Show less »

I would not recommend this clinic based on lots of factors. For starters, after my initial consultation, I booked an Underarm + Hollywood package, which I fully paid for in advance. I was sent an email saying I booked only a Hollywood. The employee who had done the booking herself denied that I paid for both, and of course, the manager backed her up. Furthermore, I had an emergency surgical situation so I called before my appointment to reschedule (and not cancel) but they refused. I had a prescription, and my medical condition could actually be seen if any of the technicians took a look, but they did not even bother. For a professional experience, please avoid this clinic at all cost. They're extremely unflexible, and like other reviews had shown, they do have a communication problem. Had a few sessions with this clinic now and the packages that they offer deliver good value for money vs other providers in Leeds in my opinion. I changed over when Sk:n Clinics went into administration. Had my last session with Lindsay and she was brilliant, very thorough and also considerate. Will book my future sessions with her.
