The procedure at tha Day Clinic was for my wife Carole. The procedure at tha Day Clinic was for my wife Carole.
This was the repair following the removal of a Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) by Dr. Ha as part of the overall 2 stage procedure known as MOHS Surgery.
Dr Ha completed the removal and all the checks with lab analysis to ensure all the cancer cells had completely gone at Addenbrookes and then we travelled to The Day Clinic, only 5 minutes away.
Here we met Justine in reception who very warmly greeted us whilst we waited a short time to see Mr. Abood.
Mr. Abood explained the whole of this second stage, involving the plastic surgery, in a very detailed, calm and reassuring way.
Throughout the procedure Mr Abood was assisted by specialist nurse, Rachael who with a very caring and calming manner supported me wonderfully.
Afterwards we both spent time with Dr. Abood and Rachel whilst he explain the likely after affects, pain management and what was involved in the aftercare, including the regular application of the antibiotic ointment.
Now, 10 days on and just about to return to have stitches removed it can clearly be seen what a fantastic job Mr. Abood has done.
In conclusion I am extremely pleased with the outcome and can’t recommend highly enough the whole team at The Day Clinic, with a further mention to Justine who actually co-ordinated absolutely everything right from my initial enquiry and kept me fully informed throughout.

I recently visited The Day Clinic to have a large cyst removed from the base of my back, and I cannot express enough how at ease Mr Abood and his entire team made me feel.

As with any procedure, no matter how minor, there’s always a sense of trepidation, but this was completely washed away within minutes of meeting Mr Abood. He explained the procedure clearly from start to finish, which instantly reassured me and put my mind at rest.

The procedure itself was organised very smoothly and was quick and relaxed, yet professional. I was very comfortable, reassured and there was minimal pain. Dr. Abood and his nurse kept checking that I was comfortable. After the procedure I was given clear instructions for the immediate post-operative care and how to manage the area during the healing process.
