I visited this clinic about nine months ago and booked an appointment for myself and my partner. We each paid a consultation fee, making it clear that we wanted to meet with a dermatologist. Instead, we were seen by what seemed to be a sales representative.

My partner was examined and then given a treatment, after which we were encouraged to purchase products costing around £350. We were told we would see results within a few months. Nine months later, there has been no improvement at all. In total, we spent almost £500 on consultation, treatment, and products with zero outcome.

When I asked for clarification and support, no proper answers were provided. Instead, I was told to book and pay for yet another appointment if I actually wanted to see the dermatologist we had originally requested. The whole process felt sales-driven rather than genuinely focused on patient care.

We left feeling unwelcome, disappointed, and misled. Based on our experience, this clinic appears to prioritise sales over results or patient wellbeing. I would strongly advise others to avoid it.There are clinics out there run by people who truly care about helping patients, and unfortunately this was not one of them. Show less »

I first attended the Skin Doctor in Didsbury in March 2024. I’ve been receiving IPL to help target redness on my face due to Rosacea. My expectations were set from the very first appointment, the IPL would never get rid of the redness completely, however it has helped drastically with the outbreaks. My flare ups used to cause me pain, whereas now that aspect has vanished. I’ve always been treated by Jordan, she’s always supported me with guidance around aftercare and my recommended twice daily skin care routine. I’ve been seeking advice from my local GPs on how to treat my skin, waited years testing various approaches that never worked to eventually be placed on a waiting list for a dermatologist who essentially explained Rosacea is chronic and I would need to go private for IPL treatments anyway. It’s been a long journey but I’m so happy to have eventually found The Skin Doctors, I would highly recommend. Show less »
