Due to significant facial trauma and ongoing PTSD linked to medical environments, visiting a dentist has always been overwhelming. From my very first consultation at Gateway Dental in Bruges Hill, the team approached my situation with genuine understanding, patience, and professionalism. They took the time to listen to my history, acknowledge the psychological impact as well as the physical damage, and build a treatment plan around my comfort levels.

I required complex restorative dental work, including specialist dental implant treatment to replace teeth lost in the accident. The dentist carefully explained the implant process, bone support considerations, healing stages, and long-term outcomes in clear, reassuring detail. There was never any pressure—just structured, transparent planning and a calm, supportive approach.

The staff and whole team are lovely, warm and friendly. when I came to Gateway I was very nervous about going to the dentist and now I fall asleep through out treatment and leave feeling refreshed. My wife is a nervous patient and has experienced nothing but patience and a great service. She had noticed that after an injection to numb the area, she would react to the adrenalin by excessive shaking. It was put down to nerves by other dentists but she felt listened to. Awesome, I had three sketchy teeth that needed root canals or extraction. Though the work wasn't pleasant per se (no one enjoys root canals), George and the team are incredibly competent and managed to save all of them, including a particularly complex one that took two visits. I was made very welcome, reception staff are lovely and helpful and my dentist Ali was a magician! He promised no pain, and after 9 teeth removed, few fillings and now a set of shiny ne... After many years of being terrified of dentist, I plucked up courage to try Gateway dental.
My mouth was full of rotten infected teeth, loose ones and I was really suffering.
I was made very welcome, reception staff are lovely and helpful and my dentist Ali was a magician!
He promised no pain, and after 9 teeth removed, few fillings and now a set of shiny new dentures I'm amazed at just how great not only Ali is but whole team so supportive.
So glad I went to Gateway. I have and will in future fully recommend Gateway, and I have a soft spot for Ali for keeping me calm, making me laugh and reassuring me all the way though treatment. Gold stars. Show less »
