I’ve been going to Liz for 10 years now, and I genuinely wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else. My taste changes all the time, and somehow she always gets it right; from short and pink, to long and blonde, and everything in between. Her cut and colour are consistently beautiful.

What I love most about Liz is how instinctive she is. When I know what I want, she gives thoughtful, honest advice on how best to achieve it. And when I don’t really know what I’m after, she seems to understand me (and my hair) better than I do and always suggests something that feels just right. She truly is an artist and a master of her craft.

Liz also did my hair for my wedding day, and it was absolutely perfect. She created the most stunning up-do and colour, and my hair looked perfect all day. I didn’t have to think about a thing where my hair was concerned, other than the fact it looked beautiful!

On top of all of that, every visit is an absolute pleasure. She’s kind, calm and endlessly accommodating, always working around my schedule and making sure I’m comfortable and looked after.

Liz also made my wedding day incredibly special. Her attention to detail, calming presence, and the care she put into every step meant the world to me. I so appreciated the super early start she had to perfect not just my hair but five bridesmaids, my mother and my mother in law’s hair. I couldn’t have imagined having anyone else there on such an important day.

I have been coming to CWD since they have opened and I can’t fault the friendly and professional service I receive every time I visit. I book with Liz and she is honestly amazing, from the minute I walk in, she makes me feel comfortable then super confident with my new hairstyle when I leave (even curling it at the end to top off the look and the products they use smell great). She listens to the style I want to achieve and when I am feeling like something new, she offers advice to help me decide on a new look whilst checking throughout that I am happy with the colour and style. I first visited Liz from CWD years ago after a hair disaster at uni — she completely saved my hair and I never forgot it! After that, I tried a few local salons for a while, but none of them could ever achieve the same results. So now I happily make a 3.5-hour round trip just to see her, because I genuinely don’t trust anyone else with my balayage. She is incredibly talented, friendly and genuinely cares about getting the best result every single time.
I recently asked her to do the hair for my sister’s wedding, and she was absolutely amazing! Calm, professional, and created the most beautiful styles for the whole bridal party.
The salon itself has such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, warm and makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. I can’t recommend CWD Salon, and especially Liz, highly enough! Show less »

I have been to this salon multiple times before and have always had a lovely experience. However, in November I booked in for highlights with Liz and upon arrival I was convinced into getting a balayage. I expressed that my main concerns were that my last balayage in July (by Nicole) was lovely, but I’d like it to be a bolder change (hence why i booked for highlights). I also expressed that the colour difference of my root to my mid lengths and ends bothered me and that I didn’t want my mid lengths to ends to be any lighter, just for my natural growing in roots to be lightened. After expressing these points, I was told that it would take multiple sessions to lighten my ends, despite me stating that I did not want my ends lighter, just my fresh grown in hair to be lighter so there was less of a harsh contrast. I was still told that a balayage was the way to go. After receiving the treatment, it was clear that my hair looked very minimally different to how I came in, just with some small money pieces being very light. I paid, feeling upset that I paid £100+ to look almost identical.
My boyfriend went to speak to Liz, and she expressed that she could redo my hair at no extra charge.
However, when clarifying this later over text as to not get scammed, she said that I would have to pay extra if I wanted highlights- despite that being the original service I had booked.
Additionally, he sent multiple photos of my hair before and after, and the reference photos shown to her in the salon, to clear any miscommunication that had occurred the day of my appointment, reiterating that it was not the mid lengths to ends colour that I wanted lightening, just the roots. Regardless of this, she once again stated that it would take multiple sessions to get my mid lengths to ends lighter due to colour build up. Even after explaining multiple times that it is my natural new growth I wanted lightening (which took very well to bleach because my money pieces are extremely bright), I felt as though I was not safe to continue with another appointment, regardless of it being “free”. He went in to speak to them in person to say that I would not go ahead with an appointment because it is clear that she was not understanding what I booked in for and communicated many times, that I just wanted my roots to be lighter. He was met with rudeness from Liz, despite being calm and friendly. Previously, in person it was stated that if I did not want to go in for the “free” appointment, that the salon would look into issuing a refund. However, when going in to speak with them, Liz said that it was ‘her personal policy’ to not give refunds, (not the salons policy). I feel disappointed by this whole situation because I really enjoyed getting my hair done here and have been going for over a year. Charlie is lovely and I found it was a great place to go for hair, hence why I came back multiple times, but I wouldn’t recommended booking with Liz because I feel she was unwilling to do the service I originally booked in for, then was told I’d be charged extra for wanting what I originally booked. She used her skill and expertise to carefully combine dye & toner products with my own hair colour and make it look 100% natural. I have to admit I was nervous of the end results before the appointment but Amy explained everything she was going to do and constantly checked and rechecked my hair throughout the entire process, even giving me post appointment tips on how to maintain it. The next time that I went I decided that I wanted a mid bob - this is when Amy really shines.

She cut a perfect bob with a laser like level. I have had a bob before with some of London’s best and most experienced hairdressers, but Amy’s bob is the best that I have ever had or even seen! Show less »

I have been having my hair done by the incredible Liz Evans for over 7 years. She is not only an amazing hairdresser but has become a really good friend, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. I took a leap of faith after having highlights for years. A previous hairdresser advised me against having balayage, I spoke to Liz who said balayage would look amazing on your hair you just need to trust the process. I put all my trust in Liz and have never looked back. She is so talented, I recommend everyone to get yourselves to CWD !!
