I went to see Stacey for some anti wrinkle and got an allergic reaction on my scalp. I had this type of treatment done for over a decade elsewhere with no problems, so I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, and thought it would go away. Well it didn't and I eventually had to go to my GP.
I wrote Stacey an e-mail email about what happened, I didn't make any accusations or ask for my money back, I was just factual about it. She never replied to my e-mail. It's just concerning that someone who calls themselves a professional, behaves like this. I just hope nobody who goes there ends up having something more serious than me.
Edit 23/10/25:
1. The treatment was 3 and a half weeks ago. I wouldn't normally leave a review like this unless I'd think it's necessary. I genuinely thought the issue would resolve itself and that I wouldn’t need to mention it — but it didn’t, and I ended up seeing my GP. I messaged Stacey and wanted to give her time to reply, that was over a week ago. Yes I shouldn't have waited that long. Her reply reads as if she's trying to switch the blame, like I go around leaving negative reviews on the internet for fun. Everyone on here can check out the other public Google reviews I've left!
2. Stacey has a contact form on her website, that's where I messaged. I don’t believe it’s the client’s responsibility to figure out which messages will or won’t be received. If you have a contact form, it should work — or clients should be clearly told not to use it. I was never explicitly told to not message on there, how would I know?! Personally, if my contact form wasn’t working, I’d make sure clients knew, because I’d worry about missing out on messages and business. Or was it conveniently just my email that didn't go through?!
We have also not 'communicated via WhatsApp a few times'. A few months before my appointment I had found her online and asked her if she could squeeze me in short notice (and she couldn't which was fine). That's the reason I messaged on WhatsApp, but usually I find it a bit weird to message a business on an app that people mostly use privately. It shouldn't matter how I contacted her, but I'm responding to her wrong claims.
3. Yes, now she is very keen to speak to me about it and has texted me. Of course she is the 'dishearted' one now, because she thinks is the victim in this situation. The reason I don't answer her messages is becasue I have nothing further to say to this, other than I'm still using Betnovate steroid scalp serum a few times a day, but it's much better, thanks.
And I'll say this again: I haven't put any blame on her for what happened, it might be a complete freak reaction of my body, and I'm aware of the risk of any cosmetic procedure I potentially undergo. Apart from what I've said in my original review, her reply and trying to turn the blame on me just confirms to me that my review is justified.
