Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the lack of communication from your clinic concerning my daughter’s orthodontic treatment.
My daughter has been waiting for orthodontic braces for nearly two years. She will turn 17 this summer. On every occasion, we have been told verbally that she is on the waiting list. However, we have never been provided with a written reference number or any written confirmation that she is actually on this list.
Over the past 10 days, I have made repeated attempts to contact the clinic to clarify this issue:
I visited the clinic twice in person, and on both occasions the receptionist told me that I would be contacted.
I called the clinic twice by phone.
I sent two emails.
Despite all these efforts, no one has contacted me, and I have received no information or explanation whatsoever.
I do not understand why my concerns are being ignored. This lack of communication is extremely distressing and has significantly increased my anxiety. I am now seriously worried that my daughter may not be on the waiting list at all, despite what we have been told verbally.
I respectfully request:
Written confirmation of whether my daughter is on the orthodontic waiting list
Her reference number (if applicable)
Clear information about the expected next steps and waiting times
Please treat this matter as urgent and respond as soon as possible.

Today was my third visit to Ward and Allison. As someone who has a long-standing fear of the dentist due to childhood trauma, I was extremely anxious about returning after nearly 10 years, especially when I chipped a tooth and needed a filling.

Vanya was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything clearly and checked in with me at every stage, making sure I felt comfortable before continuing. Thanks to her patience and reassurance, I felt confident enough to book a hygienist appointment today as well.

Sreeragi was just as kind and understanding, she worked at my pace and made sure I was comfortable with everything that was happening. Even the gentleman on reception takes the time to explain things thoroughly and ensure you fully understand, which makes such a difference.

From start to finish, the care, compassion, and understanding I’ve received at this dental practice have been incredible. I genuinely can’t thank the whole team enough. Show less »

Ward & Allison started out as a solid dental clinic. The care I received was decent, and waiting times were reasonable. However, they refused to accept my request for a scale, polish, and filling (which has since partially fallen out) without first requiring a general 15-minute check-up. This ultimately confirmed exactly what I had told them — but meant I had to return on a separate occasion and pay again for another appointment to actually receive the treatment, which was inconvenient as it meant taking additional time off work.

In more recent years, the clinic has shifted focus. Their branding and ethos now appear heavily geared toward facial aesthetics and private cosmetic treatments, rather than essential dental care — a quick look at their website confirms this.

Patients who fail to attend frequently enough are removed from their NHS list and offered only private appointments, often at significantly higher costs. They no longer accept new NHS patients and seem increasingly focused on maximising revenue rather than providing accessible dental care. Show less »
