This was my first visit. Jemima was very efficient and friendly. I was anxious and she was reassuring and I left feeling much better about the extractions I’m going to have next week. The clinic looked very clean and all the staff were really nice. Altogether a positive experience.

This week I had the extractions. Again Jemima was very kind to me. She explained the procedure and was very reassuring. One tooth was proving difficult so Jemima sought help from a colleague who quickly came and he successfully extracted the difficult root. The only pain was during the injections but the rest of the treatment was totally pain free. I was given aftercare advice and an aftercare pack. My thanks to everyone for taking so much care. My husband and I both attend the dentist and hygienist at the Smile Clinic Mile End practice in Colchester. We have been with Dr Parker for years. He’s always been the source of reassurance, putting you at ease, explaining what’s going on, and basically being the BEST dentist. He has a way of making you feel like you are the only patient he has. The conversation is always relaxed, the staff friendly, and the reception team have always gone out of their way to accommodate any appointment requests.

The dentist and nurse were brilliant with my son—patient, gentle, and great at explaining everything in a way he could understand. He felt completely at ease throughout the appointment, which isn’t always easy with children!
The clinic itself was clean, organised, and clearly well-run. We felt looked after every step of the way.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for professional, friendly, and child-focused NHS dental care. We’ll definitely be returning. Show less »

My wife and I have been with the Smile Clinic for a number of years and have always received excellent dental care from Dr Parker.
Unfortunately when he decided to move away from providing predominately NHS care to a private care plan my circumstances dictated I would have to remain a NHS patient.
Today I met my new NHS dentist Mr Thoombil for a check up and was very pleased with the service he provided.
A problem identified during the examination related to a long term issue with a tooth, he quickly reassured me he would discuss it with Dr Parker and then advise what he felt would be the best treatment plan.
I was very pleased with this approach knowing that continuity and quality of my care had been maintained.
PS: I always find the lady receptionist extremely polite and helpful.

I previously lived in Kent and my appointments at my previous dentist got cancelled during covid so I just ignored the pain and stopped eating on my left side.

Unfortunately When as I grind my teeth when I sleep, the pain quickly became too much, so when I moved to this area I tried several dentists and this one accepted NHS patients.

Meeting Dr Mirza, he put my mind at ease and talked through my options eith no pushy talk or fear. I ended up having the tooth extracted yesterday and it was so smooth and pain free. He stopped if I needed him to and it was all done so fast.

He has helped my anxiety by just allowing me to have a voice and saying "I understand".

I now feel like I can move forward and have the teeth that I have always wanted without the fear.

We have been with the smile clinic for two years and it has been great. The children are always well looked after and treated kindly. Very pleased with Smile clinic giving me an Emergency appointment before my appointment in December. Everyone was friendly & the Dentist I saw was thorough & explained the problems to me. This is where you go if you have no other options and enjoy being ripped off. I managed to make an appointment quickly which was really appreciated, the positives end there. The communication between the assistant and the hygienist is non existent.
We got condescended to about sweets, chocolates and fizzy drinks which aren’t something we have in our diet.

I explained that we needed a clean and a thorough demonstration on how to clean teeth. This ended up being 2 seconds at the end where the hygienist grabs a model of teeth and a brush and says “brush up twice a day”. Mind blowing stuff.

Definitely do not bring your children to this practice as there was absolutely no hint of friendliness.

All in all £72 was too much money and we won’t be returning. Show less »

I have such a positive experience with this practice I don't enjoy going to the dentist I'm a nervous patient however my dentist omah is fabulous he does his best to relax and reassure me and it's all over before I know it.
