My experience unfortunately did not match my initial expectations.

A few months ago, I came to this clinic after reading many positive reviews and, like many others, I initially left a positive impression myself. At the very beginning, everything appeared professional, welcoming, and reassuring.

However, as the process progressed, my experience changed significantly and did not end the way it started.

I experienced inconsistent communication, contradictory information regarding treatment plans and memberships, and a strong focus on upselling packages rather than addressing my individual concerns carefully and conservatively. Important details discussed face-to-face were later handled differently via email, which led to confusion and a loss of trust.

When concerns arose, I did not feel supported in a way that prioritised reassurance and continuity of care. Instead, the overall approach felt transactional, and I was left feeling like my concerns were secondary once payments had been made.

This is purely my personal experience, but I believe transparency and consistency are essential in any medical or aesthetic setting. Unfortunately, that was not what I experienced here.

I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision and carefully consider their choice before proceeding with treatment at this clinic.

I stand by everything I shared in my original review.

The additional treatments mentioned were not a goodwill gesture — they were necessary due to issues that arose during the process. Reframing corrective follow-ups as “complimentary care” only reinforces the lack of accountability I experienced.

My feedback was never about avoiding payment, tone, or policy — it was about inconsistent communication, shifting expectations, and how concerns were handled once raised.

The level of defensiveness in this response unfortunately reflects exactly what I experienced: rather than listening and resolving concerns, the approach became distancing and blame-focused.

The front desk staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is bright and clean. I came in almost a month ago and was offered a consultation for a 30 pound fee. I had some specific things I really wanted help with and was told that I would get a response via email. I didn't hear anything for two weeks so came back in person and asked the front desk staff if the... Show more »

The front desk staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is bright and clean. I came in almost a month ago and was offered a consultation for a 30 pound fee. I had some specific things I really wanted help with and was told that I would get a response via email. I didn't hear anything for two weeks so came back in person and asked the front desk staff if they could help. The lady at the front said she would ask and I would get an email by the next day. It's been over another week and I still haven't heard back. I did get a receipt confirmation for a skin care mask that I bought, so I know they do have the correct email on file. It feels to me that unless you're happily jumping at their treatments, like the the hydro facials I kept getting pushed, then they'll just take a photo of your face, your details, and your money... and you won't hear back. I would be inclined to improve my rating on this business as it does seem like a nice local place, but until I get some closure or actual service, this business severely missed the mark. Edit: I have bumped up the rating as I've now been contacted and seemed like they did use a wrong email to contact me. My third co2 laser session with Lorraine and once again I received wonderful service, she really gets how the scarring to my chin is affecting me, she's so kind, supportive and I really feel she cares, as do the rest of the team. I have complete faith in what Lauren does. She listens to any concerns and allays any fears and as a result you come away with the result that leaves you happy. Yes of course some treatments can be a bit ‘stingy’ but it’s over quickly and worth the result - no pain no gain! But it’s minor. I have complete faith in what Lauren does. She listens to any concerns and allays any fears and as a result you come away with the result that leaves you happy. Yes of course some treatments can be a bit ‘stingy’ but it’s over quickly and worth the result - no pain no gain! But it’s minor. I’m going to be joining the Skin Gym shortly as I’m so impressed with the clinic as a whole. I’ve been going to Hestia Clinic for a year now and I’m genuinely impressed. Dr. Costas and Lauren always take the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make you feel completely at ease. After a disappointing experience elsewhere, it was such a relief to find a place I could truly trust. The results have been consistently great. I’d also be remiss not to mention the lovely lady at reception—she’s always so friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the whole experience. Oh, and I love the new offices—so calm and elegant! I highly recommend Hestia having completed a course of six radio frequency micro needling. Lauren has worked wondered with my skin as you can see from the two photos.
