Staff here are nice and professional, and the most amazing part is while they serve many patients, they can still managed it well and very, very efficiently. From start to finish,it takes my wife less than 30 minutes to see the doctors and finished two tests, plus all the paperwork.

Every visit with Dr.Baldwin we've had no issue and it's prompt. Great physician.

** clarify not with Dr. Baldwin but the physician we did see. We think they are amazing. This is nothing against any physician as I've been cared for splendidly. This is solely due to the inconsistency when it comes to appointment times/delays.***

Sadly, other times we have had delays have been seen after our appointment times. This recent visit left me in shambles. We weren't seen until an hour after our designated time which we can appreciate when there's a bit of a delay but after 20 minutes; it's excessive. If we were 20 minutes late we would risk losing our appointment slot and sent an invoice. When asked if we would be charged if we rescheduled after waiting 45 minutes they couldn't give us an answer. We were finally seen after I became visibly distraught. Sadly during that timeframe I was in physical pain and distress as we did not anticipate waiting an hour to be seen.

I personally don't schedule an appointment ever anticipating waiting an hour for an appointment because we are not using NHS for our care during our visits.

Just as how we as patient using the private services we value and respect the physicians and staffs time; we wish the same courtesy was shown. Show less »

I saw Dr Nicholas Shenkar, who was outstanding. He was kind, patient, empathetic, professional and genuinely caring throughout the consultation. He took the time to explain all procedures clearly, reassured me fully about my condition, and offered very helpful advice and thoughtful recommendations for managing it. I never felt rushed and felt truly listened to.
I also had a blood test taken by Dr Sino Francis, who was highly skilled. As my veins are prone to painful thrombosis, this is usually a difficult experience, but Dr Francis used a fine-gauge needle and made the procedure completely pain-free — something I’m incredibly grateful for. He also gave me a piece of advice to stay well hydrated especially for blood tests to prevent problematic veins.
Overall, the care I received was excellent from start to finish. A truly positive experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend Spire Lea Hospital and its fantastic staff in the future. Please remain this way always. - P Joseph Show less »

Nice waiting area, with coffee machine available for use.

ENT Mr Borsetto quickly reassured me that my ear issues were not chronic, and also diagnosed a deviated septum I had literally no idea or symptoms of! Took the time to explain the causes of my symptoms and ran all necessary tests in the 15-minute appointment. Highly recommended.

I had the displeasure of meeting and orthopaedic spinal consultant yesterday at Spire Lee Cambridge. I knew it was a short appointment for the charge, but he wanted me out in five minutes. Considering it’s a back issue, he didn’t even look at my back. I sat in the chair and he wiggled my leg once and said I had a great range of motion which I don’t. He told me I had a stress fracture which obviously made me cry. There was zero sympathy when he told me I couldn’t do the one thing I love which is exercise. And then sent me off for an x-ray whilst still crying not once even offering me a tissue. The fact I had to pay for the privilege is disappointing and frustrating and I expected better. If this was service at any other establishment, I would ask for my money back. Show less »

Sad to say that my wife has had a very poor experience at the Spire. After a breast screening, things have rather fallen apart after getting a referral to another hospital in London. Not like it used to be. A couple of months ago I had a small procedure to aspirate two cysts from my foot. I noticed one was still there the next day, The consultant didn’t want to know. My niece is a nurse and she said it wasn't even punctured. So basically I paid for a job that was half done. I went to a nice Clinic just outside Cambridge a week ago and... Show more »

I've had a long awaited £4,000 procedure cancelled the day before by this clinic due to an administrative error, and have been waiting for a refund for over a week despite chasing them hard. Do what I may they keep dragging their feet and taking their sweet time with the refund despite the cancellation being their mistake. Zero transparency.

1. 6 week wait for a consultation.
2. Consultant then refers me for a scan.
3. Wait for scan is c4 weeks, so I told them fo cancel.

The whole point of going private is to get things done quicker.

This hospital seems to be charging extra for a service equivalent to the NHS.

The surgeon Mr Trividi was fantastic and the nurses/night team and doctors were amazing. Rooms and hospital was very clean and the food and drink is really nice! Beds are comfy and the TV is a nice size with good channels.

Highly recommend if your a private patient or in my case this was a NHS referral and I got the same treatment if I was to pay privately.

Highly recommend. Show less »
