From the minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile and treated with respect.
Over time I have been seeing 3 different consultants, and I'm extremely happy with my treatments.
Well done. Everyone!

Recently had an op at One Ashford. Cannot fault the nursing staff on the ward. However not the same for pre assessment. Somewhere along the line my mobile phone number was copied incorrectly. I initially had a telephone appointment booked for Monday 10th at 10am which they cancelled hour before meeting. Not a problem these things happened. Appointment was rearranged for the Wednesday at 2.30pm. I was told it could be in a 2 hour window. 2.30 came and went. I waited until 4.30pm then emailed pre assessment to say no body had called me. Tried calling twice then emailed again to get an out of office response. Tried calling hospital but still could not get through to anybody so emailed again. Got an email next day to say appointment was rearranged for Saturday 22nd 4 days before op. It also became apparent that they were calling the wrong number from my voicemail message. When I did eventually speak to pre assessment the lady informed me that they had tried calling 3 times. As the number came up unattainable I dont understand why they try 3 times. They had my email address and my husbands phone number they could have sent me an email to say they were having problems but instead called me on the Saturday before my op only to say I had to have a pre op on the Monday which I could not get to as I was working and could not just drop everything to attend as I too had appointments booked to see clients. Pre assessment were meant to get somebody to call me to sort something out. Nobody called and I ended up having to call the hospital myself at 5pm on the Monday to try and sort it out. I ended up having to go to the hospital the day before my op at very short notice otherwise my op would have been cancelled. If they had used their intelligence and emailed on the Wednesday, I would have had time to sort out my pre op without all the added stress. As I said at the start the nursing staff on the ward were absolutely lovely but sadly pre assessment need to sort themselves out. The annoying thing is they did actually have the correct number all along! Show less »

I would highly recommend the one hospital your staff are always polite from the asking of the phone to out-patient clinic. I had the pleasure of staying over night in one of your bedroom and it was luxury all the way. Nothing is to much trouble for any one and you are treated with the up most coutsery. Always had a very good experience with the interactions I have had. The new plaster cast put on was exceptionally easy and as I discussed a few issues I was having they happily called for the in house doctor to come in and talk about them. No hesitation in recommendation.

Dr. Ayerst is friendly, approachable, patient, and thoroughly professional. He took the time to explain the procedure in detail, ensuring I felt informed and reassured about what to expect. During the procedure, he demonstrated a genuine commitment to education, thoughtfully guiding the nurse through each step and explaining not just what he was doing, but why. It was clear that he values both patient care and professional development. Show less »

UPDATE:
I recently had a minor op at One Ashford and stayed as a day patient. Cannot praise this hospital and its staff highly enough. Everybody was friendly, helpful and had plenty of time to treat me as an individual. Great facilities, no rush, no stress.
Not only were there three choices of vegan meal, they had oat milk for my coffee, Alpo yoghurt for dessert and offered me a choice of animal free medication. Show less »

The physio department post-treatment was particularly impressive - shout-out to Harriet Edwards who gave me brilliant exercises, tips and encouragement - I can now wear gloves, hold hands and grip heavy weights. Amazing!!! Show less »
