I have been a loyal client of Nuvo Medi Spa, Tamworth for years and have always found the staff professional and accommodating which is why I was so disappointed by my recent experience.
This is now the second time I’ve encountered the aesthetician Miley, and both times her attitude has been unpleasant.
She comes across as very cold, doesn’t smile, and makes no effort to create a friendly or welcoming atmosphere.
On both visits, she didn’t even offer me or my diabetic partner a drink and seemed irritated and angry from the moment we arrived.
This visit, my appointment finished around 4:30pm (well before the 5pm closing time), yet while we were still inside the salon Miley turned off the salon music — which felt abrupt and unwelcoming.
While I was lying quietly on the treatment bed, she repeatedly sighed and seemed noticeably disengaged, giving the impression that she couldn’t really be bothered.
This made the experience feel uncomfortable and lacking in the level of care and attentiveness I would expect from a professional medical aesthetics clinic.
To make matters worse, she also tried to overcharge me — I was quoted £225 but she attempted to charge me £255 at the desk.
It’s such a shame, because every other member of staff at Nuvo Tamworth has always been fantastic. Julie who I have seen regularly is very professional and genuinely caring.
I’ve even recommended friends to this clinic in the past because I’ve had such positive experiences overall and I myself always travel over an hour to get here.
Unfortunately, Miley’s unprofessional attitude and behaviour really lets the clinic down.
When you’re paying for a premium service, especially something as personal as cosmetic treatment, you should be treated with warmth and professionalism. Being met with rudeness and indifference, especially twice, is unacceptable.
This experience happened over the weekend of my birthday. I was really looking forward to enjoying the treatment, but Miley’s unprofessional behaviour left us feeling shocked and disappointed.
Being treated in such a dismissive and unprofessional way, especially on a day that was meant to be special for me, made the experience even more upsetting.
I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback seriously as this is not a one off occurrence.
