Really disappointing and embarrassing experience today at Nurse Eileen Aesthetics.

I booked specifically for Radiesse and travelled across the city, spending £40 on taxis, only to be told when I arrived that although she had the product there, she wasn’t willing to administer it. This was never made clear beforehand, so the appointment ended up being a complete waste of time and money.

Throughout the consultation she kept insisting I have “model bone structure,” even saying people would pay to have my structure and that she wished she had my jawline. If that were actually the case, I obviously wouldn’t have been seeking treatment for hollow cheeks in the buccal area caused by weight loss from grief. Comments like that felt dismissive, patronising, and frankly rude.

The most inappropriate moment was when she told me to “go and eat McDonald’s.” This was after I had already explained that I work with a dietician. She laughed and said she wishes she could eat McDonald’s herself, as if it was funny. It felt completely unprofessional and insensitive given the circumstances behind my weight loss.

She also claimed Radiesse would have to be injected directly onto bone and implied it couldn’t be used for the area I was concerned about. This explanation was total lies. Many skilled injectors commonly use Radiesse on the cheekbone to create lifted volume like the result I wanted. It seems this was likely a skill issue on her part rather than a limitation of the product.

She suggested a hyaluronic filler instead, but conveniently didn’t have any of that available either, so that wasn’t even an option.

I have never wanted filler throughout my face. The only filler I’ve ever been interested in and used is my lips because I personally dislike the puffy, overfilled, jigsaw look facial fillers can create. Radiesse seemed like a more natural option for the specific issue I had.

In the end I left feeling embarrassed and dismissed, with no treatment, £40 wasted on taxis, and now apparently I have to wait up to 5 days for a refund.

Overall, a very frustrating experience and I would strongly recommend confirming exactly what this practitioner is actually willing and able to do before travelling for an appointment. Show less »
