THIS CLINIC IS A MONEY MAKING SCHEME. DO NOT GO HERE

I called to book an appointment with this clinic and was told yes i can come for a corn removal appointment. When i went this this place they asked me what can they do for me today, i said corn removal. The lady proceeded with the appointment only to inform me halfway through the appointment that i do not have a corn my toe is only pigmented.

I was not impressed because why was this not said to me at the beginning of the appointment. I received a very rude call today from the manager of the practice to say that even though i am correct in saying that the lady should of informed me at the beginning of the appointment that it was not a corn on my toe but i still would have been liable for the £50 fee because it is a private practise. Absolutely rude and only care about making money off people.

These times are very hard and i only wanted to get rid of this issues with my toe because it was causing me severe insecurity issues and overall effect on my mental health. Sometimes it does hurt when i wear certain shoes.
I should have been informed over the phone when booking my appointment that if it does turn out not to be a corn that I would still be charged. Show less »

I would suggest future customers go see a place with a doctor on site or through GP/NHS. Show less »

I recently visited Caroline at this clinic as I was recommended the clinic by a local shoe shop who were pleased. I was happy with the service but for a 30 minute appointment costing £80, I did feel she rushed things a bit and didn't really recommend trainers/footwear for me. She basically checked my gait, walking, gave me very brief exercises and that was it. She also sold me some insoles but they're not custom made, nor did she suggest them. I asked if they had some PDF information sheets for exercises (my physio sent me this via email during lockdown) and she was unsure but then the receptionist said they don't have them. I was basically given a short email of what to do when I asked for this. She did say she'd look at trainers I wanted to buy (5 minutes). She did say to wear insoles and see if an improvement in a month, no follow up appointment suggested.
I really have to say I'm quite disappointed in the level of customer service. I visited a Shuropody shoe shop (with podiatrists) recently who recommended shoes/insoles/custom insoles and Plantar Fasciitis socks. Their appointment is also half the price of this clinic.
I know Northwood as I've been there before (not to see Caroline, as she thought), I'm also a local resident.
I was thinking of returning for other services but I have to say, I'm unsure that I'd return based on this experience. Caroline was nice enough but for the price, I really did feel rushed and was expecting a bit more from her/the clinic. The receptionist was lovely (both of them), cannot fault them at all and clinic is very clean and smart/professional. Show less »

I've visited the North Wood Clinic on several occasions over the years for various podiatry treatments and have always found the team to be professional, incredibly diligent (and patient!) and happy to share advice and experience beyond what you would normally expect.

I would highly recommend this clinic and I and my family will carry on going there for years to come, for our treatments, just because of one bad review don't let that put you off, give them a try and make your own mind up. Show less »
