I decided to have blepharoplasty and spent a good 2/3 months researching different clinics and plastic surgeons. From my initial contact with the Kliniken Team everything felt right. There was no pushiness. I asked each clinic I contacted for an approximate price and what the surgery involved. I then asked them to leave me be whilst I consider my options and decided whether I was actually going to go ahead with the surgery. A few of the clinics kept sending me emails asking me to make my initial appointment – they got struck of my list immediately! Kliniken were different. They sent me an initial email with the information I had asked for and said I should feel free to contact them as and when I am ready to proceed should I decide to use them.
I contacted them a good few weeks later and made my initial appointment to see Mr Mallappa Kolar in person. When I attended the clinic Karuna was welcoming, professional and friendly. I then had my consultation with Mr Kolar. I immediately knew I had made the correct choice of clinic and surgeon. Once Mr Kolar had examined me, asked what I expected my results to be and decided that was something he could help me with, Mr Kolar then explained, in full detail exactly what the procedure involved. He answered all of my questions and queries and put me at total ease. I left the clinic feeling totally reassured I had definitely chose the correct team for the procedure.
On the day of the procedure, I arrived at the clinic with my husband in tow as I was not able to drive following the procedure, as expected. The procedure itself was not as bad as I was expecting and the whole team were absolutely brilliant. Thank you David for allowing me to crush your hand!!!! Mr Kolar explained the post-surgery instructions I need to follow and I followed them to the letter! The follow-up appointments went really well and I was found to be healing extremely well. After my second follow-up appointment, I was discharged. The scaring is minimal and the effect of the operation has been absolutely amazing so far as I am concerned. I am absolutely delighted with the end result.
If I decided to have any further surgery, I would not hesitate in contacting Mr Kolar and his team. I whole heartedly recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever.

Team Kliniken (consultant Andrew Kilshaw) performed an eyelid lift procedure as I'd suffered with so much excess skin on my eyelids that it started to affect my everyday life and looked very unsightly. I had a minor surgery on my right arm and the care I received was brilliant. The procedure was very well explained in advance and carried out very well too! I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my upper eyelid blepharoplasty.
From the initial consultation with Dr Kolar all the way through to the 5 week post op check up, the service at Kliniken has been superb. The facilities are modern, clean, warm and welcoming. felt really well taken care of during my procedure, not just with Dr Kolar, but his surgical nurse Emma talking me through the whole procedure as it happened and Karuna who stepped in to provide a comforting hand to hold, (quite literally) throughout the surgery.
After endless research, I chose Dr Kolar, due to his expertise in facial surgery and his impressive CV of qualifications, both of which gave me huge confidence and I couldn't be happier with the results. Cosmetically I feel 10 years younger, but as important the correct function of my upper eyelids had been restored. No more tension headaches, or tipping my head back to see, my fatigue has lessoned significantly and I feel much more confident.
I would highly reccomend Dr Kolar, his superb surgical nurse Emma and wonderful practice manager Karuna at Kliniken. Show less »
