A few months having a baby (when treatment is totally free) I was told I needed a filling. This is the first time I have needed one so didn’t really know what to expect. A few months having a baby (when treatment is totally free) I was told I needed a filling. This is the first time I have needed one so didn’t really know what to expect. I asked the dentist whether I would be able to have a white one rather than silver. She said yes but that would mean the cost was approximately £170. I was shocked by this but agreed as I was already sat numb in the chair! When I spoke to others about it they informed me how expensive this was. I contacted the manager via email who replied saying the dentist had advised me the whole appointment would have to be paid for privately (this was not the case). I replied to the email but never received a response.

I later went back to the dentist and saw a lady whose job title I’m not sure of. She was not a dentist but I believe was able to complete most of the same treatment. She was absolutely lovely. She did however confirm to me that a white filling IS included in nhs treatment and as I was post partum I should not have been charged at all. I again contacted the manager who did not reply. I then used a different email address to contact the manager in case there was an issue with not receiving previous. I am still waiting for a reply. Being on maternity leave at the time not being charged nearly £170 would have been very much appreciated. Show less »

Had an appointment with Charlotte for facial aesthetics and she is fantastic! She really took her time to conduct a thorough consultation, and listened to any concerns and worries I had before getting started.
