I visited this salon as a walk-in around two to three months ago to have my eyebrows threaded. During that visit, Eda insisted that I needed waxing instead, saying my eyebrow hair was “too thin,” despite threading being my usual and perfectly suitable method at every professional salon I have visited before.
During the appointment, she asked me about my race and whether the hair on my head was real. As a Black woman, I found these questions inappropriate and uncomfortable, particularly as she appeared surprised when I said it was my natural hair. The interaction felt like a microaggression and created an unprofessional atmosphere.
She then proceeded to wax my eyebrows without first cleansing the area, which I had to ask her to do. After waxing, she immediately applied oil to my skin while my pores were still open. I raised concern and asked her to remove it, as I knew this could cause irritation. She did so reluctantly. When I looked at my brows, it was clear the waxing had not achieved the intended result, so she then went in with threading - the method I had originally requested. I do not understand why this was not done in the first place.
As a result of the double treatment and the oil being applied to open pores, I developed a severe rash that took two months to clear. I was left with visible scarring, which remains. At the time, I chose not to raise a complaint and gave the benefit of the doubt.
However, when I returned today simply to request eyebrow threading, I was told it could not be done by Eda this same lady that did it last time. When I questioned this - as it had been done previously - the response was inconsistent. As I was leaving, I politely asked if she could recommend another salon nearby and she laughed and said she did not know. She then abruptly changed her position and said she could do the threading after all. By that point, given the earlier experience and the lack of honesty, my trust was gone and I declined the service.
I left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and disappointed. What I was asking for was a standard, professional service - and instead I experienced poor hygiene practices, inappropriate comments, and ultimately damage to my skin. I will not be returning.

I need to correct a few inaccuracies.
I requested threading, not waxing. Waxing was pushed, and after waxing you then also threaded - which contradicts the claim that only waxing is offered. The area was not cleansed until I asked and oil was applied to freshly waxed skin despite my concerns. I then developed a severe rash that took two months to heal and left scarring.
I was asked about my race and whether my hair was real. Regardless of intent, this was inappropriate and made me uncomfortable.
I returned today because I am new to the area and chose to give you the benefit of the doubt - I believe in second chances. I am from London, where there is an abundance of professional threading providers. I have not yet found another local option and you were unable to recommend any alternatives, which suggests there is a lack of this service in the area. Coming back was therefore not my first choice.
However, when I requested threading today, I was initially told it could not be done, then laughed at when I asked for a nearby recommendation, and then told it could be done after all. That inconsistency confirmed that my concerns were valid.
This is about professionalism, hygiene, and how I was treated. I stand by my experience. Show less »

They accommodated my very last minute booking for a blow dry and eyebrow lamination and even gave me a lash tint for free! Honestly, could not recommend them enough. Honestly, could not recommend them enough.
