While it is standard practice to charge beyond wholesale cost (to cover clinical expertise, overheads, insurance, and aftercare), margins at this level risk being seen as exploitative rather than reflective of true medical service value.
In addition, the much-publicised “awards” — Digital Awareness 2025, Best Wellness Clinic 2025, The Best Clinic in London 2025, Rising Star Awards Finalist 2025 — are in fact organised by private companies where recognition is contingent upon payment.
These are not independent peer-reviewed or regulator-backed accolades, but rather marketing devices that can mislead patients into perceiving false authority or excellence.
From a patient safety and trust perspective, this blurring of luxury branding with healthcare service provision raises serious ethical concerns.
