I underwent Softwave and multiple Sylfirm treatments at Dr Preema’s clinic in August, at a very high cost, with the expectation of skin tightening and collagen stimulation.

Five months later, I have seen no improvement whatsoever from Softwave. More concerning, assessment using the clinic’s own advanced imaging and skin analysis system showed evidence of increased skin sagging compared to my baseline, particularly in areas that were meant to tighten. This machine has aged my skin visibly 10 years older!

This was extremely upsetting, as Softwave was presented as a tightening and lifting treatment, yet the objective data showed the opposite effect. I was not warned that loss of firmness or worsening laxity could be a possible outcome.

In addition, after Sylfirm treatments, I was left with persistent skin marks/scarring, which again was never clearly explained as a potential longer-term risk.

When I raised these concerns — including the documented post-Softwave sagging shown on their own machine — I felt my experience was dismissed, with no responsibility taken and no meaningful attempt to address or acknowledge the outcome.

I fully understand that results can vary between individuals, but at this price point, I expected either a visible benefit or professional accountability. Sadly, I experienced neither.

I am sharing this review so others can make an informed decision, particularly given how expensive Softwave and Sylfirm are. In my case, Softwave not only failed to tighten my skin, but appeared to worsen laxity, which I feel is important for prospective patients to be aware of.

CLARIFICATION:
I have posted this review under a nickname purely to protect my personal privacy, as I do not wish details of my aesthetic/medical procedures to be publicly associated with my real name.

I would also like to clarify that the concerns about sagging were not based on imaging alone. I personally noticed increased sagging around my jawline after the treatments, which prompted me to return to the clinic and ask for assessment and help.

This concern was then confirmed using the clinic’s own objective imaging, which showed no improvement and worsening laxity following Softwave.

I did raise these concerns directly with the clinic and asked for support. Unfortunately, the response I received felt generic and standardised, largely repeating manufacturer information rather than addressing my individual outcome, and no corrective steps or solutions were offered.

Due to the lack of resolution, I subsequently required additional corrective treatment elsewhere at significant personal cost. I am sharing this information so others can make a fully informed decision.
