Had the most horrific experience at this Establishment.
My husband bought me a voucher for my birthday for a Japanese Head Spa.
It was advertised on the website as an introductory price of £40 but when he went into the shop to buy the voucher he was sold a voucher for £100.
He booked my appointment for me. I just had to turn up.. I arrived on the day of the appointment and a young girl took me downstairs to a nice room and explained she will be doing the head spa and a facial. I did not want a facial as I was expecting a spa only, but didn’t complain.
The young girl Carrying out my treatment talked incessantly the whole time which I found to be rather frustrating as it was supposed to A relaxingTreatment. During the head spa, she put on a face mask which was left on my face for a very long time, I had to ask her to take it off in the end as it was burning.
The scalp massage itself was dreadful. She only did the top half of the scalp, Badly. The underneath and back of my scalp was not touched when I Queried this She said “most concerns are at the top of the scalp we don’t do the back”. During her Constant talkingShe then told me She was Stillat school still doing her GCSE’s!! I was very concerned at this, obviously she was not qualified.
By the end of this, my face was hurting and my scalp was feeling rather clogged up with all the products she had put on, she said she was now going to take me upstairs for a blow dry!!! The back of my head was still dry and untouched!! Totally unacceptable. I asked for her to rinse my hair as it felt awful, She did this but was more eager to dry my hair. When I sat in the chair, I looked in the mirror my face was swollen and bright red I felt dreadful. I refused the blow dry and asked her for a full refund for my husband as a service was horrific.
She then went to phone the manager, As she could not advise anything. There wasn’t A manager in the salon! Considering this child was still at school, I found it very alarming that a manager was not in the salon. I was left with wet hair and a burning face at the reception for 10 minutes. I’ve had enough so I went to look for her. She said the manager is refusing to refund my money so I said my husband will be calling her as this was unacceptable. I then walked out in tears from the whole experience.
My husband sent her a message explaining everything and she sent him a rather argumentative message back. My husband then replied very politely to the fact that he had been missed sold and my treatment had not been carried out As promised, In fact he been totally ripped off as the treatment itself was only £40 which was all he should’ve been charged not £100!! She then replied with another message arguing back.
We decided We didn’t want to argue anymore of this woman so we decided to leave feedback to Warn other people about this salon.
I would also like to add that I asked the girl what brand she was using on my face and she said she didn’t know!! Who on earth would leave a child to do treatments on clients without Supervision i’m not having full training on product knowledge beforehand.
Please avoid this place It’s the worst salon for treatments and customer service we were treated extremely badly.
