Sadly was sold a dream. I live about 30 mins from this shop and booked in at half one, luckily they were able to squeeze me in. I asked on the phone for a biab removal and new set and was told no problem £60. Which I thought was slightly steep but looking at the reviews had no complaints. I arrive at the shop and wait for ten mins, again no problems that’s standard in a nail shop. The nail lady then told me she only does hard gel, I explain my preference is Biab, the lady tried to resolve the issue by asking a colleague if she could squeeze me in as she does biab. The other girl then began to question my preference and when I explained I didn’t like it as hard gel had previously split my nail, she rolled her eyes and basically told me I was lying and that she can’t do my nails anyways. What a waste of time! I got up and left, wasted my time travelling to the shop, wasted my time waiting and wasted my time explaining why I didn’t like hard gel to someone who had no intentions of doing my nails int he first place. Seem like nice girls in the shop but maybe some professionalism would go a long way … / dropped down to one star after the response. I would like to point out that at no point did anyone mention that they thought hard gel would be better suited to me due to the length of my nails. The lady who was going to do my nails said “I only do hard gel” I also want to highlight that yet again a member of staff at this establishment is insinuating that I have lied? … my advice to anyone reading this review is to be prepared to be given unrequested alternatives and a poor attitude towards customers that politely decline. There are lots of other nails shops in the area that wouldn’t treat people like they’re thick for not wanting hard gel :) decision is yours x Show less »

Bella has been doing my nails for over a year now, and I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else. After years of having my nails butchered in local nail bars, I went to Bella for help and she has brought my nails back to full health. She refuses to use acrylics because of how damaging they are and only uses BIAB. She takes the time to listen to what I want, checks that I’m happy every step of the way and has never done anything but give me beautiful nails that last for weeks and look amazing. I introduced both of my daughters to Bella too and they feel the same- they wouldn’t go anywhere else. It’s wonderful to have an independent nail technician in Colchester who is accessible, friendly, very reasonably priced and has your best interests at heart. I’m not one for nail art but my daughter has had some amazing designs done and it just shows how talented Bella is! I would highly recommend Bella to anyone who wants their nails done properly, safely, and beautifully! Show less »
