I booked a HIFU treatment with this clinic after being courted by their Instagram adverts. The initial phone call was charming and reassuring. I was told the treatment would be performed by a “celebrity doctor,” Dr Osh, who, naturally, uses only the very best equipment. As someone who prefers not to gamble with their face, I booked in good faith and paid a deposit. My requirements were modest: a qualified medical doctor and a newer, safer generation of machine.

Curiosity, as it so often does, arrived shortly after. A little due diligence revealed that the “doctor,” Dr Osh, appears not to be UK-registered, which makes it rather difficult to confirm that he is, in fact, a doctor at all. The machine, meanwhile, judging by the clinic’s own photographs, appeared to be a generic, older model and far removed from the newer, safer technology I had been led to expect.

The very next day, I attempted to contact the clinic to discuss these concerns. Calls were unanswered, voicemails unreturned, and text messages politely asking which machine was being used vanished into the digital ether. Having received no clarification and no response, I requested to cancel my appointment the day after booking and asked for a refund of my deposit, entirely in line with the clinic’s own terms and conditions and with well over the required notice.

This cancellation request was sent by text and by email to every relevant address. Silence prevailed. Only days later did I begin receiving automated reminders for an appointment I had already tried repeatedly to cancel. Even on the day of the appointment itself, my final attempt to make contact was met with the same dignified absence. Matters were not helped by the reminders helpfully alternating between Knightsbridge and Finchley Road, as though the treatment itself had yet to decide where it was meant to take place.

For a clinic offering medical aesthetic treatments, the lack of transparency, organisation, and basic professionalism is striking. When one’s face is involved, one tends to hope for clarity rather than mystery. I am now escalating this matter formally and would strongly suggest that anyone considering treatment here applies the same level of scrutiny I wish I had applied sooner. Show less »
