Mr Ameerally and Dr Sreevalson did a brilliant job at reassuring me and calming my nerves. David O the ODP was really chatty and made me laugh which again was a big help!
Whilst I didn't get to meet my theatre team, I know each and everyone of them would have taken the utmost care for me! I saw that it was Gemma.P, Azi, Nicky.P, Chloe.P and of course David along with Mr Ameerally and Dr Sreevalson in the threater looking after me, and im still here so I definitely give them 5stars!

All in all, I would definitely recommend the Three Shires Hospital for any procedures people need in the future. I couldn't fault the service, the efficency and the overall level of care I know I would have never achieved anywhere else.

On the 6th of January I had an open myomectomy performed by Dr. Aldrich and his team, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Dr. Aldrich was professional, skilled, and reassuring throughout the entire process, and his team made me feel well cared for every step of the way.
The hospital staff were incredibly helpful and kind. A special thank you to Nurse Pam, who made me feel so comfortable both before and after surgery. She went above and beyond to ensure I felt calm, supported, and cared for. All of the nurses were truly amazing—attentive, compassionate, and professional.
This was honestly the best hospital stay I could have asked for. The facility was very clean and quiet, which made recovery much easier, and the food was surprisingly very good. Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish for my girlfriends operation today! I had undergone surgery a month back with Mr. Aldrich. He was superb, very calm, caring & compassionate from the beginning. I was well informed about my procedure & the post surgery care & treatment. I cant thank him & his team enough for taking such good care of me.

I found the whole team of staff at the hospital very helpful & professional at all the times. While at the hospital someone from the team was always there till the main procedure reassuring me, cracking jokes & talking, putting me at ease. Post surgery they took care of me so well & put me at ease in the lovely room.
A huge thank you to the lovely nurses who took care of me - especially Edwina & Jackie. They were very supportive, warm & genuinely caring. The food was amazing (you are spoilt for choices with the menu options they have) and care provided at every step was exceptional. thanks to the physiotherapy team who prepared me for what to expect and how to prepare & care for myself during recovery which really helped.

She drew blood from three different places without me even knowing she had. Generally most of the rime, the nurse struggles to find a good vein.
Jude, the lovely doctor,, has a great ‘’bedside manner’ that the 90 minutes I was with him felt like 15 minutes.
The Three Shires has been my ‘go to’ private hospital for several years and I am always impressed with the consistently great quality of service provided each time by the medical and other staff . Show less »

My daughter had a knee operation here, I stayed with her throughout. The level of care throughout her stay was impeccable. I had a total knee replacement yesterday at Three Shires Hospital, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience.

From the very beginning of my journey four months ago, Mr. Shukla (surgeon) was exceptionally kind, caring, and supportive. As an incredibly nervous patient, I was reassured at every stage—from admission through surgery and now as I’m being discharged. The entire process was smooth, well-managed, and I was kept fully informed about everything, from medications to pre-operation steps and discharge procedures.

The food was amazing, the service outstanding, and every member of staff—from doctors to the cleaning team—showed true professionalism, respect, and compassion.

To anyone in doubt about using this hospital: rest assured, Three Shires Hospital provides excellent care and has an incredible team of staff.

Before the operation, I was in constant pain and struggling to do even the simplest things I once loved. The idea of surgery was daunting, but from the moment I walked through the hospital doors, every single person I met — from the reception team to the nurses, physios, and my incredible surgeon — made me feel reassured, cared for, and genuinely supported.

The warmth, professionalism, and compassion shown by everyone was extraordinary. I never once felt like just another patient. Every nurse who checked in on me, every physio who encouraged me through those first tentative steps, and every member of staff who greeted me with a smile — you all made such a difference.

And to my surgeon — I can’t thank you enough. Your skill, calm reassurance, and clear explanations gave me total confidence and peace of mind. You didn’t just fix my back — you gave me my freedom back.

Fast forward to now, and I’m back to full fitness. I’m golfing, snowboarding, and doing all the things I love again — pain-free and with a new appreciation for simply being able to move with ease. It feels incredible.

To everyone at The Three Shires Hospital: thank you from the bottom of my heart for your care, your kindness, and for helping me get my life back. You’re a truly remarkable team, and I’ll always be grateful.

The anaesthetist nurse needed to introduce himself and his role better - I wasn’t sure why he was taking me to the theatres.

Ward nurse -Beth was very friendly and managed to still get through all her work. Needed to finish the hand over. Lack of final communication meant I sat in my room for over an hour until I ran for someone. Then I left straight away.

Never been anything other than polite and pleasant with everyone at Three Shires so I've no idea why I've been utterly 'ghosted' now-- I guess that's the problem with private hospitals in the UK, they don't treat everyone equally, and so a private pay will be prioritised over someone exercising right to choose on the NHS.

Guess I've learnt my lesson the hard way😔

I have since been back for yet another procedure with Three Shires Hospital, and I can safely say, yet again, the staff were outstanding in the IMAGING 🩻 Department. Cannot commend Dr. Lyall & Abigael highly enough for their empathetic, yet professional manner. Would thoroughly recommend Three Shires Hospital (again).

1st procedure: November 2024
Everyone was pleasant and helpful-from start to finish-- starting with a friendly, and highly competent PA named 'Claire' who somehow magically just 'gets it done' effortlessly (at least that is how she makes it look).

On the day, Mr. Smith and his team, Catherine, Shannon and Eben were incredibly reassuring and friendly. In truth, I cannot fault any step in my procedure or care-- it was a calm, organised, and made as easy an experience as possible for me (the patient). Anytime anyone must undergo a procedure at a hospital, there is a degree of not knowing what to expect, and thus some worry; at no point did I feel uninformed, which lessens the latter; that can only be credited to the staff that are all very well practised at what they do, albeit in a professional, friendly and empathetic manner.

Finally, as far as cleanliness goes everything was very new, tidy and clean; I was only a day case, so I did not stay over, however I can extrapolate that the patient rooms would undoubtedly be very acceptable, and comfortable going by the rest of the hospital's standard. I would not hesitate to stay over for a procedure if I had to.

In short, I would very happily recommend Three Shires Hospital to any of my family and friends.

***Update***

I was scheduled as a day case surgical procedure. Unfortunately, I am a nervous patient as well as coming equipped with a whole host of medical issues which needed to be taken into account in relation to the type and quantity of sedation used on the day.

I can very happily say my anaesthetist was nothing short of brilliant. He was very engaged, switched on, actually listened and spoke with me about my options. I felt my input was valued and respected in the final decision. I was incredibly happy with all the staff in fact; everyone was was warm, empathetic, and had a good balance of friendly professionalism.
