Having had several thousand pounds worth of Invisalign treatment with James a few years ago and been happy with the results, I subsequently moved my regular dentistry appointments to the practice and committed to a monthly plan at a cost of £264 per year. My package included two annual dental appointments and two hygiene appointments, which I’ve booked consistently since, 6 months ahead.
My two star review relates to the numerous short notice appointment cancellations I’ve experienced, since starting the plan, and more specifically, the appalling attitude of Amy Eadie, the practice manager.
When my most recent appointment was cancelled, yet again, at the end of October, I decided that I had no option but to find another practice who I could rely on to not regularly cancel and not imply they were doing me a favour by offering to reschedule. After all, I was paying for a service with an expected customer service standard and it wasn’t being delivered.
Having since contacted the practice to express my dissatisfaction with their service and subsequently registering my dental care with York Dental Suite, I had to wait almost a week for Amy to bother to reply to my numerous messages. When she finally did, she advised me that, “she doesn’t return phone calls because she’s too busy running two practices.” Customer service and patient satisfaction clearly aren’t two of her priorities!
We’ve since exchanged a number of emails, in my attempt to get a refund, and her attitude and professionalism has been consistently appalling. I really couldn’t justify giving this practice any more of my loyalty or money and I’m sadly out of pocket having had my £132 refund request for my last 6 monthly payments with no appointments rudely denied.
I felt obliged to leave this review so that others are aware of the standards and attitude I’ve experienced from the practice
manager.
