I went to Sandra back in 2021 as I was due to have lip filler again. I chose Sandra for a few reasons. Firstly Bella Aesthetics is in a much easier location for me, being in the city centre of Stoke on Trent. Secondly my previous aesthetician had recently moved away from the area, and thirdly, Sandra’s transparency over social media with regards to her depth of knowledge and training really impressed me and made me feel I would be in safe hands.

From the moment I messaged Sandra I felt reassured that she would help me decide which filler and technique would be best for me. My first experience having my lips filled left me feeling very apprehensive as it quite was painful so Sandra spent lots of time talking me through how she would manage my pain beforehand.

On arrival at my appointment Sandra spent some time chatting to me about why I wanted the procedure, what results I hoped to achieve, what to expect in terms of recovery, pain and longevity as well as the minimal risks of side effects. Again I felt reassured I was in good hands as Sandra talked me through everything and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured into going ahead.

Sandra then applied lots of anaesthetic cream to my lips, then reapplied multiple times to ensure my comfort throughout. She was constantly checking that I was feeling okay and gave plenty of time for the anaesthetic to take full effect. I was then asked to lie on the bed and Sandra got to work!

I cannot stress enough how professional and methodical Sandra is. With each injection she would step back and check how it looked as well as checking my comfort levels and giving me a cool pack to apply between injections. I was quite nervous that it would hurt but due to all the time spent beforehand I barely felt a thing!

After Sandra had finished she gave me some instructions on how to take care of my lips for the next few days and said to contact her should I have any concerns.

Admittedly I did get home and wonder what I’d done to myself as my lips looked enormous! I knew from my previous experience that the swelling would subside though.

I did have to return to Sandra a few days later so she could massage the lumps out where the fuller had settled as I didn’t feel confident enough to do it myself, which she did wonderfully. Of course, my lips settled after a week or so and I longer feared for my face! They looked wonderful and I look forward to having them filled again soon.
