I recently underwent bilateral breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) and am beyond thrilled with the results.

The procedure was performed on 20th October 2025 by Professor Mahajan, at the Yorkshire Clinic and the entire experience exceeded my expectations from start to finish.

Before the surgery, I dealt with chronic neck and back pain, persistent shoulder grooves from bra straps, and frequent skin irritation. My goal was to relieve discomfort, improve posture, and achieve a more balanced proportion that would enhance my day-to-day comfort and confidence. The pre-op process was thorough and supportive: detailed consultations,clear explanations of the incision options, and an honest discussion about realistic outcomes and recovery expectations.

The operation was completed under general anesthesia and lasted about 6 hours. I had a significant amount removed. I was HH cup and now C cup, totally remarkable.

I had 2 nights stay and the team ensured I was comfortable throughout. The recovery plan was well-structured, with clear instructions on wearing a compression garment, managing pain, and gradually returning to activities.

Scar lines are healing well and are cleaner than I anticipated.
The nipple-areola complex was repositioned thoughtfully, preserving sensation and natural aesthetics as much as possible. I now have more sensation than i have ever had!
Symmetry is excellent, contributing to a more balanced silhouette that complements my body shape.

The most immediate and lasting benefit has been relief from neck, back, and shoulder pain. I can stand up straighter without the constant reminder of heavy breasts.
Clothing fits more comfortably, and I no longer have to tailor outfits around a top-heavy silhouette.
Movement and exercise feel more comfortable , which has boosted my energy and confidence.

I followed the recovery plan closely, including wearing the compression garment as advised and scar-care when dressings had been removed. I have been massaging Bio oil to the area twice daily since scars were fully healed on the outside. This definitely helped with the healing process.
Pain was manageable with the prescribed meds, typically mild to moderate in the first week and gradually diminishing.
I appreciated the ongoing follow-up appointments, where any concerns were promptly addressed.

My overall satisfaction is high, and I feel more proportionate and comfortable in my daily life. The decision to proceed with surgery has had a profound positive impact on my posture, activity level, and self-esteem.

Do not hesitate to have this procedure it is truly life changing, Professor Mahajan is an amazing surgeon, he is a genius. I can’t thank him enough. Show less »

I had my mummy body done with ajay in July, I can not recommend him enough he has given me back confidence and self like which I had lost. Due to twin pregnancy and weight gain then loss I was like an empty balloon I have a flatter stomach then I have ever had my boobs are like an 18 yr old lol. If you are thinking of doing surgery just book you will love it, recovery was great I was back to work in 3 weeks. Pain very minimal which I belive is down to the great ajay with his expertise.

I had heard amazing things about Mr Mahajan so knew I would be in good hands, but I cannot put into words how incredible my results are from my breast augmentation. No question was too silly, any queries I had his secretary Nicola was so prompt and informative.

I had never had general anaesthetic before or had any surgery prior to this, all staff members involved in the day were extremely caring, attentive and knowledgeable.

Mr Mahajan honestly has changed my life and has given me self-confidence I’ve never had. He has truly exceeded my expectations, I highly recommend. Show less »

I had breast reduction surgery on 21st November 2024 at The Yorkshire Clinic, Bingley with Mr Mahajan. He came highly recommended but I also did my own research before choosing him.

I felt listened to, respected and comfortable.

The NHS offered me therapy/counselling and antidepressants, so it was a very refreshing experience having someone listen to and acknowledge my concerns over my 32GG/HH breasts.

The consultation for the examination was made very comfortable for me with a female nurse present and my husband was allowed to stay in the room too.

There was no pressure for me to make a decision and I was given lots of clear written information to take home and digest. I was encouraged to ask any and every question I had - I wasn’t rushed, I wasn’t dismissed but more importantly he set my expectations as to a) what I should expect after surgery with regards to movement and recovery, but also the expected breast size. He was very clear about my expectations versus reality and looking back that was one of the most important factors.

Mr Mahajan is very well respected at Yorkshire Clinic by everyone whom I spoke to, from the cleaner to the staff nurse to the receptionist. This was very reassuring.

I am now 8 weeks post surgery. My breasts have settled down and feel very comfortable. I am over the moon and delighted with the outcome of the size, symmetry, scars/healing, look and feel of my breasts.

Professor Mahajan discussed all options with me in detail taking into account my desires, anatomy and goals. I was happy with the size of my breasts in a bra and so opted for an uplift. He informed me on what to expect pre, during and post surgery including scarring and pain.

On the day I was admitted to the ward and was down for surgery at 9am. All the team were fantastic and reassuring, my pain was very bearable afterwards only having paracetamol and small amount of anti sickness.

I stayed overnight and was discharged early the next day. The nurses, pharmacy team, anaesthetist etc were superb, I could not fault them.

After 2 weeks I attended the clinic where my dressings were removed, I am absolutely thrilled with my results, I can NOT believe the result he has achieved with no implants . Super natural and very very neat scars. Professor Mahajan has provided me with great aftercare and support, I could not recommend him enough.

Breast reduction + lift – life changing results

I booked in for a breast reduction with Professor Mahajan following a recommendation from a friend who had the same surgery with him back in November 2021. As someone with an active fitness lifestyle, healthy diet and exercise was seeing no improvement or change in this aspect of my body and impacting my ability to do some fitness activities well and without feeling self conscious.

From initial appointment in July 2023 to surgery date in November Professor Mahajan and his team have kept me well informed, looked after and prepared for the surgery and recovery. Professor Mahajan listened to my concerns and hopes for the surgery with empathy for the impact having large breasts was having on my health and view of self. I took Professor Mahajan’s recommendation on size that would compliment and fit my frame best and the results are exceptional and better than I ever could have imagined.

The team at the hospital were fantastic and I felt extremely well looked after from check-in to discharge and confident in how to approach my recovery thanks to their time taken to keep me well informed about what the first few weeks would be like. Recovery was much less daunting than I thought it would be and I felt back to myself with scars fully healed within 3-4 weeks.

I am enjoying seeing family, friends and colleagues who continue to comment on how much weight I look like I’ve lost and how I seem much more myself. The greatest surprise and gift was the unanticipated uplift in comfort in my own skin and self confidence. Show less »
