Like many others, I read the positive reviews about 1st Aesthetics and felt confident enough to book a consultation. At the consultation, Neil was reassuring and seemed knowledgeable. I decided to go ahead with a thread lift after he explained that it was a straightforward procedure with minimal downtime and that the threads, being collagen-based, would eventually be absorbed by the body. He also recommended adding collagen cogs for better results.
Despite my concerns—particularly about the possibility of the threads becoming visible—Neil reassured me this was a rare occurrence. However, a significant red flag was that my medical forms were never filled out prior to the procedure. This major oversight didn’t stop the procedure from going ahead.
Within weeks, I developed an infection on the left side of my face, which took six weeks of antibiotics to clear. On the right side, the thread dropped noticeably, leaving my face visibly uneven. When I returned, Neil told me there was nothing he could do.
Hoping to fix the appearance, he then recommended Botox around my chin and cheek area to lift the sagging caused by the thread. An allegedly fully qualified aesthetician administered the Botox under his guidance, during which he casually mentioned that it’s “common” for threads to drop after a month—something I was never informed of during the initial consultation or before the procedure.
A week later, I developed a pronounced wrinkle and a distorted, "joker-like" smile due to the incorrectly administered Botox. I went back again, and more Botox was injected in an attempt to fix it. Unfortunately, the issue remains. I still have a deep crease on my face and am incredibly disappointed with the overall experience and aftercare.
This has been a distressing and frustrating experience, and I would urge anyone considering treatment at 1st Aesthetics to proceed with caution. Proper protocols were not followed, and the aftercare has been seriously lacking.
In response to Neil reply , you are absolutely right the forms were filled but after the procedure. I informed you of my infection and at no point did you clarify that I had to give you supporting evidence, which I was happy to submit, furthermore you refer in plural, to missed appointments. I chose not to attend the last appointment as I was so angry and upset with the damage that occurred post Botox, which was not administered correctly. I have been left with a permanent crease on my face.
The issues that I have raised became more significant as I am left with permanent crease on my face that has got worse over the last 5 weeks and this was not acknowledged in your response at all. Nor have you reached out to me.
