Beauty Sculpting Room Poole

I booked a treatment last night with Beauty Sculpting Room Poole. Nowhere on the information about the treatment and nowhere online when I was researching the treatment did it say anything about me not being able to have it if I’d had recent surgery.
After I had booked I was sent a form to complete from them saying to contact them by phone if any of the items listed were relevant, and one of these was surgery.
The treatment area is not where I’ve had the surgery, but I still contacted them first thing in the morning to ask about it. They said they would have to get back to me - they then called me a while later and said I couldn’t have the treatment until I was 12 weeks post-op - I’m currently 7 weeks post-op. I said then that it hadn’t said anything prior to booking about this, so I wanted my deposit back. They refused and said that deposits were non refundable - even though they were the ones refusing treatment.
I asked to speak to a manager, she called me back and I got quite upset and cried over the phone to her as I was trying to explain that the whole point of having this treatment done is because I can’t exercise my arms at the moment and feel really gross after my surgery, she said she would ‘see what she could do’ and would ring me back.
A few hours later they sent me a text saying no they wouldn’t refund my deposit. So I suppose she was just trying to get me off the phone before.
Really really upset about this, I think it’s really awful service. What a way to kick someone when they’re down, and create all this bad feeling.
I have raised a dispute with them via Fresha over this as I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of - if there are conditions for the treatment then you should say so up front, to save the stress and admin on both sides. Also as they are refusing to do the treatment I don’t feel like they should keep my deposit.
It just feels really unfair that they’ve caused me this upset when all I was trying to do was feel better about myself after surgery - this has had the opposite effect. I’m really upset and feel like I’ve been scammed.

UPDATE :
Changed from 1 star to 3 stars as they saw this review and got in contact again to say that they would refund the deposit. They did follow up quite a few times to ask me to change review so I don’t get the impression they would have sorted any of it out if I hadn’t left a review etc, which is a bit of a shame. I probably won’t use them again but they did refund the deposit in the end.

Also, I have just checked and they haven’t updated the service info on Fresha to warn about the T&Cs before you book with the non- refundable deposit, which seems like it should be an obvious fix and something they should have done to begin with, but especially after this palaver. My sister also had the same thing with the facials - you book with non-refundable deposit and only then do they tell you you can’t have had any waxing on your face for 2 weeks before or for 2 weeks after - bit silly to not tell people before booking as there is an info section they could add this into. I’m assuming a lot of their services will be the same - lots of terms and conditions but they’ll only tell you after you put down the non-refundable deposit.

Oh my days where do I start? I first came to see the girls last year when I was considering fat freezing treatment. I was around 20 stone in weight and it was decided that they could do it, but as they couldn’t guarantee I’d see any results, they didn’t want me to waste my money. How lovely and considerate is that?? Any other beauty salon I know would take your money regardless. That instantly made me want to consider future treatment with them as I felt so cared about.
Fast forward to today. 1 year later and I am currently laying on the treatment bed having my 3rd round of fat freezing on my stomach whilst leaving this review XD
I have been advised all the way through this journey having had my first session in May and we have targeted particular areas for an all round smoother look to be combined with my Mounjaro weight loss journey.
I could NOT be happier with the treatments, the way the girls here have treated and looked after me and made me feel throughout this whole process.
I genuinely cannot wait for further treatments in the future.
The care and consideration here by ALL staff members is just mind blowing and so wholesome. Would rate higher than 5* if it would let me. So much love and respect!! Show less »

Teegan took great care of me for my RF face and neck lift this morning. Not rushed, plenty of time to talk through my treatment plan. My skin is glowing and lifted. Teegan took great care of me for my RF face and neck lift this morning. Not rushed, plenty of time to talk through my treatment plan. My skin is glowing and lifted. I then went in with Nancy for fillers. I am totally blown away with the results. Before today I've been avoiding mirrors and I hadn't reaslised quiet how low my self-esteem was, Nancy was so kind and patient, talked things through, listened, recommended and reassured me. My results are incredible and natural. I'm now feeling so much more confident, all in 1 1/2 hours! Thank you so much to all the girls in there today. Show less »

The girls are absolutely amazing. I am of a larger size and feel very conscious when I need to undress but they honestly made me feel at ease. When I arrived the girls spoke through everything that was going to happen and regularly checked that I was happy & comfortable. Couldn't praise this clinic enough. On my weight loss journey and I couldn't shift any more for a while. I wasn't happy with how my stomach was looking and after kids it looked very sorry for its self! I went for a fat freezing treatment on my stomach and not only did I lose weight it kick started my loss again and I've lost even more! Stacy was so nice and... Show more »

On my weight loss journey and I couldn't shift any more for a while. I wasn't happy with how my stomach was looking and after kids it looked very sorry for its self!
I went for a fat freezing treatment on my stomach and not only did I lose weight it kick started my loss again and I've lost even more! Stacy was so nice and helpful in suggesting further treatment which would help and advised me which wouldnt make a difference. Along side that we had a conversation about facials as I told her about my skin journey also.
